Risen 2 Dark Waters: A Treasure on Antigua

To supply Captain Slayne's ship, you need Rick's help (see: Ship's Equipment). You have to persuade him to transport the goods. This can be achieved either by threatening him (Intimidate at 55), or by helping him find a treasure. The man hates his work, which is why he dreams of wealth - if he was rich, he could so something else in life and leave Antigua. If you don't wish to intimidate him, you can help him realize his dream.

Rick is a very naive young man.

The treasure map can be found in Admiral Alvarez's bedroom [#2], locked inside a chest (Lockpicking at 30 could be useful). Steal it and return to Rick. He'll be pleased so much that he'll immediately agree to help Slayne. At that moment, the mission ends. If you don't have the appropriate thieving skills, you can also buy the map back from the con man Quinn [#3] - it'll will do just as well. If that solution isn't to your liking either, Duncan will give you the map [#4] for free, provided you save him in The Missing Fisherman quest.

Note! You don't lose the map by showing it to Rick - once you tell him about the treasures, you can dig them out yourself [#5], [#6] and [#7]. There are also no objections to you taking the treasures first, and then showing the map to Rick - it won't dawn on him that he had been fooled.
