Quest giver: Slick [#1]

This quest is part of: The Titan Weapon

The quest is received from the pirate Slick from the Shaganumbi village. The abrasive fellow will force you to collect a tribute from the Natives. The first part of it, food, can be taken from the collector by the river [#2] (see: Natsumi's Bag of Herbs). There is an Alligator [#3] to be defeated on the way (see: The Evil Spirit of the River). With the sacks of food and herbs in your possession, the first part of the quest is over.

In order to complete the second part, talk to the shaman woman named Kapua [#4]. You'll learn that the Idol of Protection she had been working on is still missing a heart. It can be made only with pure Jade which is very hard to find (see: Jade). Luckily, the servant girl Hikoko [#5] knows the location of a jade cave [#6], and she can take you there. Talk to her, then, and follow her (see: Accompany Hikoko). When you arrive at the cave, which is guarded by Termite Workers, go inside (see: The Jade Cave) and collect four pieces of the precious mineral (see: 4 Pieces of Jade). With them, return to Kapua and hand them to her. They will allow her to finish her work, which you'll be able to hand over to Slick.

Jade is found in a cave in the south.

The last, third, part of the tribute is the probably the least problematic - you need to collect six Gold nuggets. To this end, leave the village and go to the collectors by the river. One of them, Lin [#7] (standing farthest to the east, alone), is a gold panner. Talk to her to receive seven Gold nuggets. You should hand them over to Slick.

When the tribute has been collected, the quest will end. Regardless of which dialogue option you choose, the pirate won't agree to take you to Crow or give you your cut. Apparently, you have been fooled.

You'll get the gold from the collector in the north-east.

Note! If you sold the Gold nuggets before handing them over to Slick, you can replace them with any other found in your journeys. One is in a chest outside the village (Lockpicking at 30), another can be stolen from Lin (Thievery at 20). Three more are in the temple behind the village, in the corridor on the left (open the sarcophaguses). Unfortunately, these are the only gold nuggets you can find in the vicinity of the Shaganumbi village - you're going to have to take care of the rest on your own.

Rewards:

• 50 Glory points for completing the quest;
• 50 Glory points for each Termite Worker killed;
• 50 Glory points for each Claw Monkey killed;
• 200 Glory points for killing the Alligator.
