Quest giver: Hawkins [#2]

Talk to Sebastiano [#2] about Hawkins - the only pirate who survived the sinking of Crow's ship and who had been captured by the Inquisition after the sea battle. The commandant will suggest that you interrogate the prisoner (see: Interrogate Hawkins), so agree to it. With the blessing of the authorities, head to the stone tower [#1] where the prisoner is held, and talk to him. When the ship's cook relates the details of the battle, tell him you'd like to get some answers to a few questions. Hawkins will agree but in return will demand your help in escaping the prison. Agree and you'll trigger the quest.

Ask the pirate about the escape plan to learn that after leaving the prison, Hawkins intends to jump over the walls and hide in a nearby cave. There's also the case of the solid door, but the cook had taken care of that too. The cell can be opened with a key which is currently in the possession of Commandant Sebastiano. Naturally, you'll be the thief.

Hawkins is the only resident of the prison cell near the commandant's villa.

You can obtain the key by pick pocketing as long as your Thievery is at least 35. When you have the item, report back to Hawkins. Finish the conversation to let the cook make a run for it. The quest will be completed.

A few things to sum up:

• You can tell the commandant about the escape, but it won't change anything. The city guards are not interested in the escaped convict, no one will also tell you to look for him.
• According to the plan, Hawkins will jump over the walls and hide in the jungle [#3], right next to the cave with the Voodoo altar. To get to him, leave the city by the north gate [#4], turn left and go along the Puerto Isabella walls.
• Don't forget to search the cell when the prisoner is gone. Inside, there is a bottle of Red wine which is necessary to complete the Red Wine quest.

• 50 Glory points for completing the quest.
