The Last Guardian: Cross the first ruins using the mirror

Move along the ledge carefully

Take a look around to locate a narrow path by the chasm. Follow the path and do not worry about Trico, because he will be jumping over the nearby objects. After you get to the spot where the path ends, grab onto the hanging chain and move left over it. Halfway through, drop down for a moment onto a small ledge, follow it to the left a little and jump towards another chain.

Aim the mirror at the planks

After you reach a new stable ledge, find a wall covered with planks. Aim the mirror at the planks and wait for them to be destroyed by Trico. Also, this will result in one of the nearby pillars being tipped over. Use that to your advantage and climb down the pillar to the lower ledge.

Proceed on. Use one of the small ledges and climb up the stairs. Wait for Trico to spot you and join you. You can now go back. Along your path, use the mirror to destroy the crates and reveal a barrel. Remove it from the ground and toss it to Trico. Return to the main hall and take interest in the wall shown in screenshot 1. Stand by the wall, call up Trico, climb onto his back and jump towards the wall to grab onto the ledge.

Start climbing here. You first have to jump to reach the narrow ledge above and move to the left over the narrow edge. This way, you will reach the ledge shown in screenshot 2. There, you find another barrel that you can toss to Trico.

Return down along the same path. Take your time, lower yourself only in those of the spots that are safe. Now, take interest in the wall across the hall. Just like before, you have to stand by it, call on Trico and Climb onto his back. Then, climb up the all. You have to make it to the small ledge shown in the above screenshot. To the right of that ledge, there is a chain hanging. Jump towards it.

Remove the barricade

Climb up the chain, thanks to which you will get to the ledge above. Enter the tunnel right next to you (in the meantime, Trico will get there). In the next cave, explore the area to the left first. In there, you will find a barrel that you can remove from the ground and toss to Trico. Then, use the mirror to destroy the wooden barricade by the passage to the right.

Climb onto Trico and reach a new location

In the next area, use Trico's help to get to a small hole up above. Follow the tunnel to walk into the next location. In the meantime, Trico will find an alternative route there to get around the grate.

Climb onto Trico and wait for him to get to the next area (the passage is at the other side of the grate, past a small forest).

Climb down from the beast and explore the area. Locate the stained glass window shown in the above screenshot, aim your mirror at it and wait for it to be destroyed. Later into the game, you will be running into more such windows. What they have in common is that Trico is afraid of them. As a result, you will have to remove them, which will enable the beast to follow you.

Reach one of the small holes

Take interest in the small hole in the wall and explore the tunnel, where you find a barrel for Trico. Move on. Note the hole in the upper part of the hall, which lets sunbeams in. Call on Trico, climb onto his back and climb to the hole.

You will enter a narrow location with a chasm along the middle. Jump towards the right ledge and start moving leftwards. Along your path ,you will have to lower yourself and jump up again to the ledge above. Ultimately, you will have to reach the spot shown in the above screenshot. Lean back and jump. After you grab onto the ledge on the left, lower yourself to get to the hole. After you cross the hole, you will get to the other side of the lowered grate.

After you reach the structure resembling a cage, lower yourself onto it

Carefully, climb down and find a lever. Pull onto it to make the grate go up, thanks to which Trico will join you. Resume the journey and locate a new barrel for Trico. Around the corner, you will find a barricade. Use the mirror to destroy it.

Jump into the hall with a cage of some sort and jump down to a lower level. After a while, Trico will join you, which will start the machinery. Remain here and see what happens. Trico will grab you, which will trigger a cutscene.
