The Last Guardian: Free yourself after the fall and bring Trico a barrel

After he takes a jump, Trico has to be above the boy

This part starts with you hanging on a branch. The boy cannot free himself and as a result, you will have to use Trico's help. After you call on Trico for the first time, he will attempt, and fail, to reach the nearby ledge. Call on him again. This time, he should jump to the area directly above you (try calling him several times, because Trico may have problems doing that, at first).

Use the fact that you can grab on to Trico's tail

Grab Trico's tail and climb onto his back. After you return down, Trico will weaken again. As a result, you will have to find another barrel to restore his energy. Find a hole I the wall around and climb up to get to the barrel.

The barrel is right by the grate, but to get it to Trico, you will have to cross the entire current area and throw it into specific spots. Take the barrel and walk onto the slanting platform. After you reach its upper part, turn left and toss the barrel into the spot shown in the above screenshot. After it lands, the barrel will immediately start to roll down, so you have to act fast here. Leap towards the platform and catch the barrel before it rolls down.

With the barrel, walk over to the lower end of the slanting platform and toss it to the neighboring ledge (shown in the above screenshot), which is the one close to the point, where you have initially found the barrel.

Pick up the barrel, turn right and throw it at the ledge shown in screenshot 1. After you pick it up again, turn right again. This time, you have to throw the barrel at the small flight of stairs shown in screenshot 2.

Open any door

Jump over to the neighboring ledge, pick up the barrel and take it up. Open any door here (it just needs a push) and toss the barrel into the chamber with Trico in it. All you have to do now is place the barrel near Trico and have him devour it.

Trico should automatically throw you onto his back and start climbing. Jump towards platforms up above. The climb will be interrupted by opponents with stained glass pane shields.
