The Last Guardian: Solve the blue fumes puzzle and continue exploring the ruins

Climb onto Trico and wait for him to get to the next part of the ruins. In this location, the beast will focus on the blue fumes coming out of the building on the right. Jump off Trico and walk inside.

In here, a big cauldron on rails will start to move. It has to get to the spot shown in the above screenshot, right by the hole in the middle. Wait for Trico to slide his head into the opening.

Climb over Trico to get to the rooftop

Leave the building and climb onto Trico. Thanks to his position (the head inside the hole) you will be able to climb onto his back and onto the roof, using the lianas.

Shut the lid

Head towards the chimney on the left, which is the one that the fumes come from, and climb down over the ladder. You can use the small balcony to get to the cauldron's lid and shove it to shut the cauldron.

Jump down to the bottom level and exit the building. Once again, climb onto Trico's back. Since the fumes are no longer distracting him, he should move towards the next part of the ruins. After Trico stops on one of the pillars up above, jump towards the nearby ledge and after a short while, you will climb to another big passage inside the ruins. Have Trico help you. You will reach another big area with stairs (the camera position will change for a moment and you will notice a similar beast in the distance).

Grab on to Trico's tail

Climb down from Trico and cross the passage into the next part of the ruins. In this area, call on Trico, climb onto his head and jump over to the nearby structure. Wait for Trico to change his position, grab on to his tail and finish the climb.

Once you get upstairs, search for the first barrel. Give it to Trico, and cross the partially damaged wooden bridge (screenshot) to the location with the second barrel. Once you've delivered both barrels, proceed to the nearby lever. Pull on the lever and take the passage that opens, as a result. This will take you to a new, bluish chamber.

Climb down to the lower level of the chamber and let Trico deal with the armored knights.

Take a look around for the ledges down below thanks to which you could get to the bottom of the large chamber. In here, you will run into armored knights. Retreat, or climb up onto Trico and let him deal with the opponents.

After the fight ends, you will have to pet Trico to soothe him down. Also, it would be a good idea to make sure that there are no spears stuck into his body. If so, remove them (remember to do that after each battle with armored knights). Additionally, you can take a look around for a barrel. Pull it out of the ground and toss it to Trico.

The exit from the blue chamber

Stand underneath the big balcony with lit torches on it. Call on Trico, climb onto his head and jump up to reach the balcony. Now, you can take the passage. In the partially flooded corridor, there are more armored knights, but the tactic to defeat them is the same (retreat, or hide on Trico's back and soothe him down after the battle).

Find the ladder and climb up to get the higher level. In the next corridor, there is an open gate. However, after Trico stands on the large pressure plate, it drops down and immobilizes Trico.
