The Last Guardian: Find Trico and avoid the other beast

Walk into the lift-cage

After you have seen a short cutscene, you will come to and your new task will be to find Trico that you have separated with during the ride along the flooded tunnel.

Take the small passage into the neighboring hall. There, you will find two glowing pressure plates. Standing onto one of them will lower a lift-cage. Enter the cage to travel to the upper level.

Along your path to the upper part of the ruins, you will have to walk over the balustrade, among others

You will find yourself at the base of a new part of ruins. The main stairs are damaged, but you can jump onto the balustrade on the left and walk over it to the other side. Go towards the smaller stairs and climb up. Along your path, you will have to climb onto ledges up above, get over the interactive ledges climb over the lianas and jump towards the chain.

Climb over the tree to encounter the hostile beast

Climb over the chain onto the wooden balcony, run over it and jump towards the lianas. Soon, you will spot the beast's tail hanging down. Jump towards it, change your position enough to be able to lean back and jump towards the lianas there. Walk over the fallen tree over the chasm.

Along your path, you will discover that the tail you have just grabbed onto is the tail of another beast. It will want to get the boy and from now on, apart from climbing, you will also have to avoid the beast's attacks.

Walk over the rope to get to lianas

Walk over to the other end of the tree and grab onto the lianas. Climb up to get to the rope extended above. Climb onto the rope and walk over it to reach the other end. There, jump towards the lianas. Move left, jump down onto the small wooden ledge and reach another set of lianas. Also here, you have to go left. Let go of the lianas after you get above a narrow passage between rocks.

Right afterwards, dash towards the small opening and squeeze across it. After you get to the other side, jump quickly towards the ledge on the right (this has been shown in the above screenshot). You have to do that before the beast stops monitoring the area into which you have gotten after you have let go of the lianas. If, in the meantime, the monster has moved to the right, return to the area on the left across the small opening to encourage it to return to the previous area.

Climb onto the ledges up above and jump towards the lianas. Reach a short corridor at the end of which, there is a ladder. After you have used the ladder, jump towards the small ledge on the left (you can climb over from the lower level). Remain on the ledge and wait for the monster to slide its head into the hole next to you - this has been shown in the above screenshot. Jump onto the beast's head and then, onto the ledge nearby. Repeat that for each consecutive hole.

Enter the cage

Cross the hole to walk into a larger vertical chamber. Jump towards the chain here and climb up. Reach the arm, walk over it and reach the hole above. In the corroder, head towards the more distant passage. This way, you will reach an open cage. Enter to start the lift running.

The beast will attack the cage soon after the ride starts and will manage to throw it down. Since there is no way to get out of the cage, wait for the beast to be distracted and leave this place. After you have seen a short cutscene, call on Trico and wait for him to ram through one of the walls up above.
