Unlock the quest
You can unlock this quest while you're in Beauclair. During the exploration of the central part of the city (M4,18) Geralt can be accosted by Vineyard Owner who will tell him that he can withdraw money from the bank deposit.
Journey to Cianfanelli bank
Cianfanelli bank is located in the northern part of the map, near the main market. You can enter the bank during the working hours (preferably around noon - use meditation if you need to quickly change time of day). After entering the bank walk towards the marked window and speak to the clerk. You will learn that Geralt needs permit A38.
Important - While talking to the clerk you can exchange some money. This operation will be also available after you complete this quest.
Obtaining permit A38
Go to the room with window number 1 and speak with another clerk. The woman won't be able to help Geralt, but you will learn where to look for permit pattern. You can ignore visiting the archive in the basement, the clerk there won't have the document. Instead of that, go to the office on the higher floor. From another bank employee you will learn that you need form 202.
Obtaining form 202
After leaving the room bank client will accuse Geralt of pushing into the queue. No matter how you act, you will be forced to fight him inside the bank. It's not a hard battle - parry the attacks and use healing items if needed.
Once the battle is over, return to window 1 on the ground floor. You will learn that the clerk has a break. Use Witcher Senses to find the clerk - you must position yourself at the window shown on the picture and try convincing the woman to go back to work.
Geralt will be forced to wait for the break to end. Sit on the bench and speak to the bank client. You can play gwent with him, but all you can win is small number of crowns. The man will tell you that it is a good idea to be nice to the bank employees if one wants to speed up the procedure.
The game will unlock a side mission quest related to obtaining a gift for the clerk. If you want to complete it, go to the perfume shop, talk to the merchant and buy flowers. Now speak with the clerk from window 1 - you can flirt with her or give her the flowers.
Visiting the stash in the vault
No matter how you acted, Geralt will meet with Giacomo Cianfanelli and go with him to the vault. Once you reach the destination, open the marked safe 256. You will find out that it is lacking the gold. Go back to the dwarf and speak with him again. You must decide how you will behave during the conversation.
Option A - Giving Cianfanelli a week for reclaiming Geralt's gold
If you want to solve the matter peacefully, select the first dialogue option. Geralt will give Cianfanelli one week to reclaim the gold. In the meantime you can focus on other quests or use meditation a few times in order to skip the time by one week. Go back to the bank. The dwarf will give you 500 crowns and, as a form of apologizing, rare steel sword The Reckoner.
Option B - Beating Cianfanelli's employees up
If you're in a rush and want to complete the quest quickly, you can decide to attack the bank guards. No one will die during the battle because it is a fist fight. Try parrying guards' attacks and focus on weakening one of them at once. Use medicaments whenever Geralt loses more health points. Once the battle is over, examine the bodies of unconscious dwarves and take Massive Key from one of them. Leave the vault, go back to the upper floor and speak to Cianfanelli for the last time. The dwarf will give you 200 crowns.
