Where Children Toil, Toys Waste Away The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Guide

It's a considerably short quest concerning the further search for Dettlaff, the Beast of Beauclair. During this task, Geralt will have to meet the bootblack, pry the information out of him, and search the toy shop, which is Dettlaff hideout.
- Find the bootblack who appeared in the vision
- Pay the bootblack for information
- Using Witcher Senses, search the toy shop
Find the bootblack who appeared in the vision
In order to find the Bootblack, you will need to travel in the area of Beauclair port (M4,11). Visit the spot during the morning hours, so you will be able to find the boy during the hours of his work. Once you reach the spot, you will notice that the boy is surrounded by few men. Regardless of your behavior, you will be attacked, and you have to defeat the workers in a fist fight. Try to dodge when you get surrounded by two or three people. Search for an occasion to attack single enemies, and try to eliminate them one by one. Once you win the fight, the guards will come up. You can make them arrest the workers (first dialogue option) or let them walk (second option)
Pay the bootblack for information
Talk with the bootblack about Dettlaff. The boy will ask for 500 crowns for the information concerning the vampire. You can proceed in three ways:
- Pay 500 crowns
- Negotiate a reduced payment
- Use fully developed Delusion
Regardless of your actions, you will receive an address of a toy shop, which is Dettlaff hideout. Travel there with Regis.
Using Witcher Senses, search the toy shop
Activate the witcher senses and start searching the toy shop. Go to the last chamber. First, look at the woman likeness (Rhenawedd) drawn on the wall. Next, find the first Suspicious letter (shown on the screenshot) and read it.
Continue the exploration and start with locating two Letters naming the Beast's targets (shown on the screenshot). Once you listen to a conversation with Regis, a new main quest will activate.
