Far Cry 5: The Lesson (the first Henbane River liberating mission)

The Lesson is the first out of the three missions where the goal is to liberate Henbane River region. This mission starts automatically once you get 13,000 resistance points in this particular region. You can't start any other missions and activities when this quest (and others of which goal is to liberate this region) is set as active. The three missions from this quest line are unlocked one after another.

Unlocking the mission

You don't have to go anywhere to unlock this mission. Collect 13,000 resistance points in Henbane River and wait for the hallucination. Soo, you will see a cut-scene with Faith, Virgil and the previously rescued Sheriff. After that the quest will start.

Note - You can't use your specialists and visit any shops throughout this entire quest (the same goes for others that are connected to Faith). Luckily, the second problem isn't tedious because you will be able to find various weapons in the locations connected to this quest.

Get inside the prison

Head towards the Hope County prison. Watch out for hostile snipers placed on the rooftops. You can be shot by one of them even before you get closer to the prison. You can kill them from afar if you carry a sniper rifle. Otherwise, you have to approach the prison from the left side (remember to avoid open spaces).

Kill all enemies on your path or sneak into the prison's yard. You can't use the main entrance. Reach the back of the building (watch out for new snipers). Go to the place presented in the picture above.

Reach the hostages

You have to climb up and reach the prison's rooftop. Watch out, there should be at least one new sniper. Use the ladder and go through the vent shaft. Reach the cell block.

This location has more cultists. Start the fight by performing a takedown on a nearest enemy. Attack the rest by using stealth attacks or face them in a regular firefight. However, you have to watch out - you don't want to accidentally shoot one of the prisoners.

Rescuing Tracey

Secure the area and reach Tracey's cell. You have to find County Jail Key to free her - that item can be found right next to the corpse presented in the picture. Open Tracey's cell and watch the cut-scene. After that you have to go to the exit. A new hallucination starts which marks the opening of another story quest called Paradise Lost.
