The Evil, however, has a lust for blood… As befits any action RPG, an important element of the gameplay is the combat, in which one can use cold steel, ranged weapons, and various spells. Characters gain experience points that can be spent on developing their skills and acquiring some new ones. From the technical point of view, the game is based on the popular Vision Engine 8 technology.

A futuristic first-person shooter focused on the multiplayer, developed by an independent American company - Adhesive Games. The story is set on a planet colonized by humans and eventually ruined through violent industrialization. Rival factions are fighting one another for resources required for survival; the battles take place in destroyed cities or ruined factories that became battlefields. The player picks a side in the conflict and takes control of a mech. There are several standard game modes, such as deathmatch or team deathmatch, but some more complex kinds of competition are also available. Although the players control mechs, the gameplay is highly dynamic, since the machines are powered by rocket engines and equipped with diversified weaponry (rifles, rocket launchers, sentry guns, grenade launchers, electromagnetic missiles). Certain mechs can be also equipped with different gadgets, which help in combat, and diversify the experience even further.

The Passing introduces a new firearm, a melee weapon and a single new zombie type as well. Similar to the base game, the experience can be enjoyed here in several different modes. Another DLC for the second installment in the action RPG series Mass Effect. The expansion offers new storyline which can be started during the main campaign or after its conclusion. The add-on tells the story of a failed Cerberus experiment which was supposed to discover a way to communicate with the geth. Former chief of the project asks Shepard for help, when an aggressive AI takes control of his research station and tries to take over the surrounding computer systems. During the mission your task is to find the base where the experiment took place and stop the AI before it manages to infect networks in the entire galaxy. It is also worth mentioning that Mass Effect: Overlord allows to you to use a vehicle – hovercraft M-44 Hammerhead (unavailable in the core game).
