The first expansion included in the season pass of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - a first-person shooter developed by Machine Games and published in the fall of 2017. In terms of story, the Episode Zero add-on constitutes a prologue to the other three expansions and allows the players to familiarize themselves with the three new main protagonists featured in the DLC - Joseph Stallion, Jessica Valiant, and Gerald Wilkins, active resistance members fighting to defeat the Nazis occupying America. The gameplay mechanics do not differ much from what the players might remember from the base game - during the campaign, the player has to complete consecutive missions, explore various locations, and eliminate numerous opponents, including both humans and battle machines. The player is bound to appreciate the fact that all three protagonists are diversified in terms of abilities and preferred weaponry, which makes each separate playthrough a unique experience.

After the studio responsible for developing the base game had been shut down, the developers joined the Standing Stone Games – the studio responsible for creating this expansion. This add-on introduces the titular land of Mordor, currently ruled by Sauron – the dark lord. The players are given a number of new locations known from the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, including Cirith Gorgor, the Valley of Udun, Barad-Dur, and the Black Gate. Additionally, one can visit Erebor – the city under the mountain known from The Hobbit and its cinematographic adaptation. The Lord of The Rings Online: Mordor introduces over three hundred new quests, raises the level cap up to 115, and delivers new items and artifacts. To top it all, when creating a character, the players can now play as High Elves. Mordor features a new barter system allowing the players to acquire unique upgrades for their equipment. Another novelty is the allegiance system allowing one to join any faction in order to retake Mordor territories for additional bonuses and unique pieces of gear.

It seems that the perpetrator’s modus operandi matches the one of the criminal that carried out the assassinations of the most important members of the government and was supposedly killed by a police detective. The storyline initiated in the original is continued in the sequel, whose story was enriched with previously unavailable chapters. A turn-based strategy game set in ancient Greece. You play as a leader of a tribe, who has to turn the village they founded into a prosperous city-state. The gameplay spans 4000 years (from 3000 BC to 1000 AD), during which you participate in over 100 historical events, such as the Persian invasion or Alexander the Great's conquests. The game utilizes an isometric view, and you have to gather resources, expand your village, mostly by erecting new buildings, develop new technologies, and annexing new territories. To achieve that, you should forge alliances, which allows you to trade with others, or you can choose the way of war. The battles are automatic and you basically cannot directly influence the outcome. When you acquire a new patch of land, you can either build a new polis or start an overseas colony. An unusual logic game developed by Buried Signal. The game was created by Jason Roberts, who was responsible both for the code and for the visuals of the title. The main protagonist of Gorogoa is a boy who collects mysterious items related to religion. The story of the game is filled with symbols and abstract references to faiths from all over the world. The key aspect of gameplay is solving riddles that take the form of movable puzzles that consist of up to four scenes. What makes things more complicated is the fact that the player isn’t matching parts of a single image, but motives hidden in each scene. If combined correctly, the pictures will be animated, creating a key scene and pushing the story forward. Gorogoa distinguishes itself with unique mechanics and unusual graphics that look like an animated, hand-colored drawing.

One’s objective is to help the young musicians in their rehearsals and concerts. After selecting from a long list of songs one can see an animation of the chosen song with sound, and it is up to the player to react to notes falling from the top of the screen; some of them need to be tapped, swiped, and others sustained for some time. The players can replay any song as much as they like to improve their scores. Apart from the single player mode, the game allows the players to face one another in a multiplayer mode, selecting a song for them to play and comparing their scores.

A wacky motocross game, developed by Saber Interactive. The players participate in races taking place on over 40 diversified tracks while riding various cross motorcycles. Depending on the chosen game mode, the objective is either to be the first to reach the finish line, or to gain a certain point advantage over the opponents. As an award for their efforts, the players can race against one of 13 bosses. By performing stunts, one replenishes the titular nitro booster, which allows the players to instantly increase bike’s speed, shorten the time necessary to perform a stunt, or perform a grand jump while climbing a steep hillside. Moreover, motorcycle’s stats and appearance, along with the rider’s apparel can be customized in accordance with player’s preference. In MX Nitro, one can choose the single player mode, as well as challenge other players through a rather peculiar multiplayer mode, where one races against the other players’ ‘ghosts’. The gameplay is even more attractive thanks to the visuals and advanced physics engine – upon crashing, the rider’s body is catapulted into the air and lands in an eye-catching manner, after bouncing off the ground for a couple times.

The gameplay of SteamWorld Dig 2 doesn’t depart from the groundwork of its predecessor, focusing on digging underground tunnels to reach places of interest and find treasures we can spend to upgrade our equipment. There are also various enemies to defeat with our more or less fancy weapons. Like the previous works of Image & Form, the game features good-looking cartoonish visuals.

Action, Beat 'em Up, Indie Games, Singleplayer, Top-down.

A dynamic action game, in which you play as the eponymous hero possessing supernatural powers. His task is to break into one of the most secure facilities in the world and discover the secrets hidden within. Mr. Shifty utilizes a top-down perspective. The gameplay focuses on eliminating hordes of enemies — the protagonist can phase through walls, teleport himself away to dodge attacks, and slow down time. The enemies can be killed not only by dealing them a lethal blow or by throwing an object at them, but also e.g. by forcing open a door when the enemy is standing right behind it. The game has a high difficulty level (everything happens quickly and both the opponents and you can die from just one shot) and features pleasant and colorful comic-book-like visuals, as well as a dynamic electronic soundtrack.

A sports game created for the fans of basketball and released by Electronic Arts. After the three previous installments, which were average games at best, the developer was given more time to create this new follow-up. Thanks to that, NBA Live 18 brings a few interesting novelties. Above all, the game introduces The One mode - the player creates their own character and takes part in matches in The Streets mode and The League component (the latter is the NBA league). The player works on the skills of their character while experiencing the game, acquires new outfits and tattoos. Apart from that, 12 teams from the WNBA league (women's NBA) were featured, such as L.A. Sparks, Minnesota Lynx or New York Liberty. When it comes to gameplay, the creators prepared more intuitive controls, as well as hundreds of new moves the particular basketball players are popular for. The game offers both single player and multiplayer (competitive and co-op) modes. One can experience the Ultimate Team, and the Takedown modes, but also play friendly matches.

An unusual, two-dimensional sports game developed by House House Games, dedicated to local multiplayer matches for two or four players. The mechanics of Push Me Pull You mixes the elements of wrestling and popular team games such as volleyball or basketball. We take part in a match of two pairs – each team creates a flexible worm-like structure with two heads. Our goal is to hold the ball on our side of the court for the required amount of time. Both players can influence the shape and the size of the worm in order to catch the ball and carry it into the required direction, while the other team attempts to retrieve it by intruding on the winning team and pressure them to give up the ball. In order to win, the players have to maintain communication and coordinate the moves of both heads. The game is characteristic for its pastel colors and cartoonish graphics.
