Shovel Knight is a classical 2D platform game with elements of adventure and RPG, set in fantasy world. The title is a debut of the independent studio Yacht Club Games, hiring, among others, former employees of the experienced Way Forward studio. In the production, we impersonate a titular knight who, with the help of a legendary shovel-like weapon, fights the mysterious members of The Order of No Quarter. Traversing subsequent locations, our hero faces scores of enemies, including difficult bosses. Interacting with certain elements of the environment, he solves series of puzzles, facilitating the completion of a given level. Gameplay is modeled after classic platform games like Mega Man and Castlevania. Its old-school character is emphasized by pixel-art graphic design. The game lets you play alone or in a local multiplayer mode for up to 4 players.

On these isles, several different biomes coexist together. In the game, we progressively uncover the truth about the protagonist’s life and help him come to terms with his demise. The gameplay mechanics combine free exploration of extensive levels with numerous logic puzzles that often need to be solved by careful observation and analysis of our surroundings. At the same time, every puzzle can be solved in multiple ways. This is facilitated further by the protagonist’s ability to manipulate the reality — we can, for example, summon rain or unleash a snowstorm. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 3 and supports virtual reality headsets.

Continuation of Defense Grid: The Awakening - a popular tower defense strategy created in 2008 by Hidden Path Entertainment studio. The plot of the game continues the threads started in the predecessor and tells the story of the commander struggling with the next foreign forces. Just like in the first installment of the game, our actions are commented on by artificial intelligence, known as Fletcher. In terms of mechanics we are dealing with a typical representative of the genre, in which our task is to build various defensive structures in order to repel successive waves of enemies. The authors, however, tempted to introduce completely new types of opponents and previously absent defensive towers. A system for improving structures has also been developed, enabling them to be equipped with additional subassemblies. Thanks to the new engine, the graphics of the game have improved significantly, and the maps have become larger and more extensive. The functional level editor prolongs the fun in single and multiplayer mode.

As the game progresses, the hero gains new experience levels, increasing his power and health points, while found coins enable him to buy various items facilitating the game.

The game, and the whole series, which started out in 2002, was developed by American studio Digital Eel. Infinite Space 3: Sea of Stars is set in the future, where humanity has colonized many planets and established contact with alien civilizations. The gameplay doesn't give you any particular tasks, instead putting you in a randomly-generated world, which you can explore, have various adventures, and discover new locations of the vast universe. The game mostly uses a turn-based system, although combat takes place in real time. Like in roguelike games, you cannot save your game. Each gameplay lasts from about fifteen minutes to several dozen minutes, and the game is over once you die. Unlike the previous, 2D installments, Infinite Space 3: Sea of Stars utilizes a 3D engine, which enhanced the visuals and the dynamics of the gameplay.

Furthermore, the player can also build building restaurants, gift shops, toilets and other structures essential to a well-managed theme park. When the park is ready, the player invites visitors. Interestingly, the game gives an opportunity to assume the role of one such person, simply to try out the rides. What is more, the player can visit someone else's theme park and share their work with other gamers.

On the other hand, if the player decides to assume the role of a Zoroastrian leader, their goal will be to restore Zoroastrianism to its former, high position. The DLC introduces a set of other elements as well, such as an opportunity to perform sacrifices to gods, berserker frenzies, curses, prophecies, etc. Regardless of the leader the player has chosen, they constantly have to protect their subjects from Christians and Muslims trying to convert them.

A social game aimed at railway enthusiasts. We manage the station by setting up a train set, letting them go on the route and trying to earn as much money as possible on transport. Gradually we move from nineteenth-century steam locomotives to modern electric locomotives which significantly speed up the exchange of goods.
