A three-dimensional action game with RPG elements, based on the well-known jRPG series, Dragon Quest. Contrary to other productions that employ the Dynasty Warriors formula, Dragon Quest: Heroes has its own story which is not directly tied to any installment of the core Dragon Quest series. Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below allows the player to traverse vast locations and fight hordes of enemies whose strength lies in their numbers. Bosses present an even bigger challenge — to defeat them, one must adopt an adequate tactic. The player's character possesses several regular attacks and special abilities that we unlock having acquired a certain amount of experience. The game offers cartoonish 3D graphics, with characters designed by a famous mangaka, Akira Toriyama. Thanks to the 8th-generation consoles' capabilities, the developers introduced previously unavailable visual effects and increased the number of opponents visible on the screen simultaneously.

Night Cry takes place on a passenger ship. A series of brutal murders that take place there scares the passengers and makes it impossible to continue the cruise. The player assumes the role of one of the surviving passengers - his task is to discover the identity of the killer. The gameplay mechanics of the game focus on adventure-related activities such as exploration, collecting items, conversations and solving riddles (some of which have a time limit). The player battles subsequent skirmishes that utilize the mechanics once introduced in the so-called "match-3" logic games. During each turn, the player can match objects on the map up to three times, erasing elements which symbolize money, ammo, energy, repairs, or the mech's cooling system. Afterwards, those are used to reinforce the player's combat machines, as well as to activate different special abilities. A simplistic turn-based strategy game featuring RPG elements and created by Tortuga Team - a Russian developer. Braveland is set in a fantasy world and the player takes on the role of a young warrior who has managed to survive the attack of bandits that murdered the rest of his fellow villagers. The protagonist decides to set out on a journey to seek revenge on the murderers. A story campaign is at the core of the game and it was divided into three episodes. In the campaign, the player explores the game world, assembles a team of fearless fighters, exchanges goods with merchants and fights the enemies encountered. Combat is turn-based and the player controls up to five characters at a time, plus the protagonist, who supports them with different skills and spells. Furthermore, a boss fight awaits the player at the end of each chapter - this is when the player is required usually to apply adequate tactics. The player is rewarded with experience points for eliminating enemies, which can be later spent on upgrades for particular soldiers and abilities for the protagonist. Braveland offers colorful eye-pleasing visuals.

An unusual MMO game, focusing completely on relaxing exploration, which you do on your own or with other players. Unlike other games in the genre, Wander features absolutely no rivalry element. The game is set on an alien planet. The protagonist wakes up in the middle of a tropical forest, unable to remember how she got there, and, to her surprise, discovers that she can shapeshift. She embarks on a journey through the mysterious world, trying to learn all its secrets. On her way, she encounters extraordinary geological formations (such as drifting rocks), forgotten ruins, remnants of an advanced civilizations, friendly locals, etc. The protagonist's shapeshifting ability greatly helps in the exploration — you start out as a walking tree, and later unlock the forms of a flying griffin, aquatic azertash, and others. The game's attractive visuals were created with the CryEngine technology; additionally, Wander features an atmospheric soundtrack. The game was developed by an indie Australian studio.

Minimalistic, in terms of visuals, logic strategy game designed by an indie developer from New Zealand, Dinosaur Polo Club. Mini Metro is a project that originated as a prototype created for the 48-hour Ludum Dare contest. The game puts you up against a challenging task of designing and building a subway network in a dynamically developing metropolis. The game features randomly generated maps. Initially, there are only 3 stations to manage, but as the city expands, stations appear in new, randomly designated places, and with them even more impatient commuters. In order to offer them fast communication around the metropolis, you have to constantly open new metro lines and modify the existing ones for maximum efficiency. Mini Metro ends when dissatisfaction of citizens reaches maximum.

A classic turn-based RPG in a postapocalyptic setting, and with a strong dash of roguelike elements. Skyshine Games, whose staff worked on the Darksiders series among others, took the reins of the production. The game is set in the distant future, on Earth - a planet destroyed as a result of scientific experiments gone wrong. The surviving life focuses around two metropolitan areas: Byzantium - a decaying city, and the utopian Aztec City. The player assumes the role of the Mechanic who is a successor to the once powerful guild of inventors. Using his armored vehicle called Dozer, the hero wanders the desert collecting raw materials and fighting with numerous enemies, be it bandits, mutants, cyborgs, or robots. The game also features randomly generated plot challenges such as transporting passengers between the cities. The experience we gain by completing these quest enables us to develop the skills of our subordinates and modify our armored vehicle.
