A second entry in the adventure horror game series Amnesia. It has been created by the dev team at The Chinese Room and supervised by Frictional Games studio (creators of the original Amnesia: The Dark Descent). The Story of Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs focuses on the eponymous device; set in 1899, it puts players in the role of Oswald Mandus, a businessman who fell in a coma for a few months and lost his memories due to mysterious illness. When he wakes up, he discovers that the rest of occupants had disappeared, and a strange machine noise can be heard from below. We experience the game from an FPP view, which creates a feeling of true fear in conjunction with engrossing story and climatic audiovisuals.

A spin-off of the popular Might & Magic series by Capybara Games, originally released for Nintendo DS, and later also for PC and the eight generation consoles. It is a combination of logic puzzle games and turn-based strategies with significant plot, and visuals-wise it resembles a jRPG. The story was divided into 5 episodes, during which you have to complete quests, explore the world, talk to NPCs, and, of course, fight enemies. The game focuses strongly on creating and managing your team, consisting of e.g. knights, elves, wizards, necromancers, or tamed demons. It allows you to use various strategies and your troops' special abilities in battle. The single player mode is complemented by an online and a local multiplayer mode, in which your team competes against other players' teams.

FlatOut 2 brings a continuation to a "brutal" racing game developed by Bugbear Entertainment. The original game combined regular racing competition with unlimited destruction - both cars and environmental objects could be damaged and / or destroyed. In FlatOut 2, the creators focused on extending the scope of mayhem the player witnesses, thus the only real challenge the player can encounter in this game constitutes of making it to the finish line in one piece. What's more, the crashes and car damage are visually even more impressive than in the original FlatOut, thanks to the improved graphics and an upgraded engine behind the in-game physics. The game offers 16 fully customizable cars, as well as 8 drivers differing in driving style and attitude towards opponents. FlatOut 2 brings both single player and multiplayer experience, for up to 8 players in the latter case. Additionally, Destruction Derbies were also included, similar to the original game. In Rag Doll events the player will "ski jump" or drive through fiery rings for example.

Black & White takes us to the world of Eden, where a long-standing harmony and balance between the humans and the nature is disrupted by the appearance of many deities, whose untamed craving for power leads to countless conflicts and wars. We take role of one of such gods, with our task being to teach and guide our followers, as well as raise a familiar - a powerful creature that will assist us in fights and help control our tribe. Depending on our preferences, we can become a god loved by our people or a merciless tyrant ruling through fear. Our choices will also impact the growth of our familiar, which can turn into friendly and helpful entity or a fearsome monster.

Contrary to the previous editions, which were set in ancient and medieval times, this one lets you witness centuries-long conquest of America, spanning from 16th to 19th century. Because of its wider time frame and a setting much closer to modern times, the game lets you command both medieval units, as well as more recent technical advancements. The developers brought back the well-proven mechanics, with an addition of some new elements. Core gameplay is an extensive story campaign depicting a blend of facts and fictional events. In multiplayer you can command one of eight playable nations, each one having its own, unique features. Additionally the game can boast impressive 3D graphics created using the Havok physics engine.

The fifth major installment of the popular series of racing action games developed since 1999. The title was created by the authors of the previous installments in the series, the Reflections Interactive studio which currently belongs to Ubisoft. The story of the game references the third chapter of the franchise in which the policeman John Tanner was fighting a gangster named Jericho. As the protagonist was chasing after the criminal, an accident occurred and Tanner was put into coma. The game takes place in the dreams of the protagonist. This allowed the developers to introduce some innovative solutions which impact the dynamics of the game. The game introduces Shift system which allows the player to switch between all vehicles in the range of sight almost completely freely. The developers recreated more than a hundred licensed vehicles and the game takes place in the giant virtual recreation of the city of San Francisco which has the size of 209 square miles. A science-fiction turn-based strategy game that came out as a reboot of the cult series, UFO: Enemy Unknown, launched back in 1994 by Microprose. This new title was created by Firaxis Games, a studio founded by Sid Meier. The story of XCOM: Enemy Unknown does not follow any of the plotlines started by its predecessors. Instead, it tells a new story of the war between humans and an aggressive alien race. In order to protect our planet from the invaders a special organization called X-COM was created, with you as its commander throughout the game. The gameplay features two main aspects. In the strategic mode you plan your next move, complete research and develop technology, as well as manufacture gear and weapons – all this in real time. When it comes to skirmishes with the aliens, combat is turn-based. Most missions are procedurally generated, which relates to greater replayability. Battles are presented in full 3D, and the game’s engine allows for full destruction of environment.

Gameplay focuses on fighting off waves of enemies that precede a boss fight on the end of a round. After each round the team of players can regroup, repair damaged barricades, and spend money earned in combat on new weapons and ammo. Advancing to higher levels unlocks useful character abilities. The protagonist quits her studies and returns to her hometown - Possum Springs, in order to have some quality time with her old friends. The place has fallen into decline since the last mine in town was closed, because the inhabitants have been left without work. What is worse however, is that a neighboring forest has apparently kept some dark secret concealed. The plot serves the role of an parallel to human existence, with themes such as death, transience of all things or longing for certain moments from the past elaborated on throughout the story. The player is required to explore (by jumping across platforms mostly) a unique in-game environment, solve simple puzzles connected to it, talk to NPCs, as well as engage in joyful activities, such as playing the guitar or having fun with the in-game friends. What distinguishes Night in the Woods from other titles, are its visuals based on an original art style - those were crafted by Scott Benson. Third-person action adventure game created by the ex-members of Team Ico, led by Fumito Ueda. Previously, the studio had made their name known by giving us two of the most original and highest ranking titles ever to be released on PlayStation 2: Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. Their new game retains similar artwork style and equally unique atmosphere. You play as a young boy trying to escape the guards pursuing him. However, it is not him, but a giant, griffin-like creature named Trico, who is the central character in this story. The little protagonist is able to climb, jump, and squeeze through holes between rocks, but in some cases he needs help from the griffin, who can remove larger obstacles or carry the boy into seemingly inaccessible places. The authors put much emphasis on the character's interactions with Trico and the creature’s artificial intelligence, as he has his own individual character and reacts differently depending on the situation.

An MMO shooter game played from the first-person view and developed by a studio belonging to Sony Online Entertainment. The game debuted on PCs, but eventually it was also released for PlayStation 4. The game is set on the planet Auraxis, where colonists from Earth are fighting for territory, power, and resources. The players reinforce the ranks of one of the three factions (Terran Republic, New Conglomerate, Vanu Sovereignty). The action takes place on huge maps where thousands of players can meet - each map is filled with bases, outposts, and other places of strategic importance. The size of the battlefield made it necessary to simplify movement. As a result, the players make use of teleports, vehicles, as well as a system of spawning automatically in places where the action is. As the player progresses, their character develops within the character class chosen earlier (each of those serves a purpose and can do their share for the faction not only through eliminating the enemies). PlanetSide 2 utilizes mechanics borrowed from modern-day FPS games. For instance, health partially regenerates in an automatic manner. The experience is complemented by high-quality visuals.
