A continuation of the 2008’s bestselling action game by EA DICE that combined incredibly dynamic gameplay with parkour elements. The story is set in a quasi-totalitarian world of the near future, where powerful corporations replaced governments. The players assume the role of Faith, a courier who, having mastered the art of moving through the urban jungle, through her determination can become the eponymous catalyst of change. Compared to the first installment in the series, the game is not strictly divided into missions (we get to decide the job order and our approach), and the action takes place in an open-world environment that can be freely traversed. Firearms were also dropped, and although direct confrontations with the guards chasing us are unavoidable, our only weapons are wits and the skills that we gradually develop with our progress.

A military real-time strategy with action game features, developed by Digitalmindsoft, the studio that created the popular Men of War series together with Best Way. Unlike the aforementioned series, Call to Arms takes place in modern times, giving us access to weaponry used by present armies (e.g. M1 Abrams tank or the Humvee). Players can choose from two factions, a dozen of vehicles, artillery units and more than 60 types of handheld weapons, which can also be modified as the game progress by adding scopes, rifle butts, barrels etc. A certain novelty is the so-called direct control mode, which allows us to play as any unit and take part in the battle from third-person perspective. As far as the technical side is considered, the game uses a modified version of engine that was used in last parts of the Men of War series.

Goat Simulator is a humorous simulator that serves as a commercial extension of the joke game made by Swedish Coffee Stain (known primarily from the Sanctum series). The game lets you control a crazy goat named Pilgor which destroys everything in the virtual world. The goal is to cause as much damage as possible with the use of a wide range of absurd accessories, like rockets, explosives, etc. It was the developers’ ambition to create a big cliché parody, mocking low-budget simulators. Therefore, Goat Simulator features loads of purposely implemented humorous bugs. The editor gives you a chance to create your own levels and share them with others through the Internet. On the technical side, the game utilizes the power of Unreal Engine 3.

A turn-based strategy game set in a science fiction universe, and a debut project from Tetragon Works. Phantom Brigade throws you into a country that gets attacked and overrun by another nation. You play as a leader of the resistance, trying to reclaim his homeland from the invaders' hands. Most of the in-game time is spent on giving orders to a small squads of mechs, performing all sorts of missions. Phantom Brigade’s campaign is very dynamic. On the world’s map you can select which targets or territories to attack next, while taking under consideration the fact that resources that you gain or lose have direct impact on how the entire conflict enfolds. Each mech under your command can be upgraded and customized, thus increasing its combat effectiveness. However, even the most powerful mech is useless without a pilot, therefore, a key to success is protecting your men from taking damage, while forcing enemy pilots to leave their machines.

The game was developed as a commercial version of that mod; however, only part of the original team worked on it. Nevertheless, Squad stayed true to the original concept, focusing mainly on online gameplay, and was designed to be something between an action-packed first-person shooter and a hardcore military simulation. Gameplay is focused on battles of two rivaling teams of players, representing different hostile factions (e.g. the USA and terrorists), with proper teamwork being the key to success. Players can use accurately recreated weapons and vehicles, but also modify battlefields by building all sorts of defensive structures. The game’s landmark feature is its high degree of realism and lack of many modern simplifications.

Developed by the thatgamecompany studio, Journey is a remarkably unique exploration game, in which we embark on a journey through the desert sands. Our goal is to reach the summit of a great mountain, constantly visible on the horizon. A distinctive feature of Journey is the fact that we do not get a lot of exposure - the production lacks a classic narrative and does not have any dialogues; the nature of our protagonist and of the world we are in, which once harbored a mighty civilization, is all but unknown to us, a mystery, the true nature of which we can only speculate. The game consists of semi-open levels, which contain various puzzles and hidden locations. After passing through each of them we arrive at the next stage and the accompanying cut-scenes allow us to gradually discover and interpret the subsequent fragments of the plot. Journey also has one very intriguing curio - while playing the online mode we can encounter other players and at any time start playing in the co-op mode - but we still have to make do without verbal communication. All of the above is distinguished by an unusual, melancholic atmosphere and very artistic visuals, with focus on a minimalistic but incisive graphic style.

An extraordinary point-and-click adventure game and a spiritual successor to the legendary The Neverhood, a game developed in 1996 by Doug TenNapel. This new title was created by the author of the original game, who managed to gather nearly entire old staff back together for this project. The story tells of the adventures of a likeable alien named Tommynaut, who survives a spacecraft crash and finds himself on a strange planet, where together with his companion, dog Beak-Beak, the hero gets captured and locked in the titular stronghold of Armikrog. What distinguishes the game, is its unique artwork – in-game locations and character models were made of plasticine and brought to life using time-lapse technique. This time-consuming work was done by a number of puppeteers, animators, and sculptors. Thanks to their work, the developers managed to recreate the unique atmosphere of the original game, which, apart from interesting story and a cast of likeable characters, offered a large doze of wacky humor.

A medieval strategy which combines, in a rather unusual way, a castle builder simulator with a Settlers-like economic game. The player assumes the role of one of medieval lords whose task is to transform a small settlement into a powerful and well fortified stronghold and then protect it from the invaders. The castle can constructed by using various premade elements such as walls, towers, bridges or moats. Economical infrastructure is important as well since it provides constant income of resources and food as well as job for the peasants. The game is divided into two main modes: the economical one in which the most important part is to expand the settlement; and the military one where during epic fights one must defend his castle or siege enemy stronghold. The game also has a multiplayer mode for up to 8 players.

Action, Post-apocalypse, Singleplayer, Survival Horror, TPP, TPS, Zombie.

One of the first Xbox 360-exclusive productions from the legendary developer Capcom. The game is characterized by dynamic third-person gameplay enriched with survival horror elements. The plot references the previous titles of the developer (the cult Resident Evil series, among others) and focuses on an uneven fight against hordes of bloodthirsty zombies. In the game, we assume the role of a reporter, Frank West, who arrives at a remote town in search of a scoop. He soon discovers that the local shopping mall has been overrun by the living dead. The protagonist faces the enemies using provisions found in stores and cafes, as well as everything that is currently at hand, starting from a pistol through a chainsaw to metal pipes and even tin cans. At some point, West is joined by non-player characters which makes the extermination of subsequent waves of enemies much easier.
