The developers of Extinction claim that while humans always kept fighting with each other, the aforementioned monsters were the real threat and they finally decided to step out of shadows. Only specially trained Sentinels can face them and there aren’t that many of them left. The player assumes the role of one of the last Sentinels – a warrior named Avil. The title is an action game that focuses especially on combat combining action with tactics. The protagonist is a very agile and fast warrior who can immediately climb buildings, run on walls and jump. His main attribute is a special whip that can be used both for moving and for disarming opponents. In addition to story campaign, the game also offers two additional modes in which the player can fight other players or stand against waves of enemies.

The game is characteristic for its original mechanic that enables the player to take direct control over a given unit – a well-aimed shot can disable a tank by tearing its tracks, while soldiers can be hurt or killed through efficient aiming. Soldiers: Heroes of World War II also employs advanced AI modules (the soldiers can scour the area, or encircle the enemy), and detailed 3D graphics, as well as destructible environments.

The key to success is creating an efficient production chain that will guarantee a steady flow of resources, food etc. It is also required to create a strong army that will provide protection from potential invaders. Among the new features there are new characters whose special abilities provide bonuses during the game. It is worth noting that there are no geologists anymore and the player no longer needs to create paths – now they are generated automatically.

Denton can use various weapons which can be also modified. The story of the game is non-linear, and depending on the choices made by the player it might led to one of three alternative endings.

Only the cooperation of the aforementioned four heroes can stop this villain from achieving his evil goals. Apart from the full content of the original version of the game, the expansion brings seven new campaigns (with the option to choose the difficulty level) and 38 scenarios, with 8 new terrain types among other features. The production also features ten new teleporters and previously unavailable artifacts, with the brand new mechanic of combining them into one “super artifact”. The Shadow of Death also brings numerous adjustments and enhancements in the area of the mechanics.

The enemies can be defeated by using many types of melee weapon. One can also create his own weapon by using parts found during the game. The impressive duels are waged during story missions that are sometimes supplemented with minigames. It is also possible to form a team with a mercenary who will help us in combat in exchange for completing a mission for him or sharing a house. Way of the Samurai 3 offers clean, but not very impressive three-dimensional graphics.

This time, Garrett's quest is to stop a long-prophesied advent of an era of darkness, which requires him to steal valuable treasures and artifacts from different parts of the city. But things take an unexpected turn when Garrett inadvertently awakens the ancient evil, and becomes considered a traitor by the members of his guild. In terms of game mechanics, the title does not differ significantly from its predecessors, and every mission in the game can be completed in several different ways. The main difference is the new graphic engine and body awareness mechanism through which we have much more control over the hero's actions.
