A 3D fighting game by Japanese studio Cyberconnect2, based on the popular manga and anime series by Masashi Kishimoto, and a sequel to the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. Like in the previous installments, the gameplay focuses on one-on-one (or rather three-on-three) battles, and you can choose from a variety of familiar characters, possessing different fighting styles and special abilities, and from a range of large arenas. Before each fight, you pick a team of three warriors: the leader that you control directly and to AI-controlled companions, which allows you to perform spectacular combo attacks. Unlike its predecessors, Ultimate Ninja Storm features slightly altered mechanics: the characters can move all over the arena, and the camera adapts to their position. Apart from the more classic battles, the game also features a story mode, which consists of over 100 missions based on the anime series.

The fourteenth installment in the legendary Japanese series of fighting games started in 1994 on Neo Geo console and arcade cabinets. In contrast to the majority of other installments in the franchise, famous for very detailed 2D graphics, The King of Fighters XIV offers fully three-dimensional arenas. This greatly impacts the gameplay, making it more similar to the Tekken or Dead or Alive series. The King of Fighters IV is the first installment in the series to be released on PlayStation 4. In the game, the players assume the role of a warrior of their choosing and fight against opponent controlled by either another player or by the AI. The game offers a wide choice of playable characters. Some of them return from previous entries in The King of Fighters series, but their fighting style was adapted to new gameplay mechanics that uses three-dimensional environment. The game itself focuses on performing attacks and combining them into combos while avoiding enemy blows. In addition to the singleplayer modes, among which there are arcade and training mode, King of Fighters XIV also contains advanced multiplayer options.

The plot of the expansion, called Road to Boruto, goes beyond the original manga and animated series, drawing from side entries such as Boruto: Naruto the Movie, a full-length animated movie, and the comic series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. As a result, we can relive the events that took place after the conclusion of the Naruto Shippuden series, and take control of completely new characters, which are a part of the next generation of ninja warriors (many of them are the children of the well-known heroes). The expansion doesn’t change the game mechanics in any way, focusing on introducing a new storyline and previously unknown characters such as titular Boruto (son of Naruto) or Sarada (daughter of Sasuke and Sakura). Aside from that, the Hidden Leaf Village received new locations to explore.

Another installment in the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series developed by Cyberconnect 2 and Bandai Namco, specifically for the PlayStation Portable handhelds. Based on the popular manga series by Masashi Kishimoto, the game follows the adventure of the titular ninja that gets thrown into the midst of incredible events once a great war breaks out. The plot encompasses most of the episodes belonging to the original TV series. The game offers over 20 characters the fans of the franchise are familiar with - those differ in their skills, which can be additionally developed as the player progresses. The game features several different modes, such as Story Battle (the story mode), Versus Battle (1 on 1 duel against the AI or another player) or Tag Battle, which is a cooperation-based variant (for two players). All of this is complemented by cel-shaded graphics typical for this franchise. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact introduces new camera angles to the in-game boss fights.
