A 3D fighting game by Japanese studio Cyberconnect2, based on the popular manga and anime series by Masashi Kishimoto, and a sequel to the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. Like in the previous installments, the gameplay focuses on one-on-one (or rather three-on-three) battles, and you can choose from a variety of familiar characters, possessing different fighting styles and special abilities, and from a range of large arenas. Before each fight, you pick a team of three warriors: the leader that you control directly and to AI-controlled companions, which allows you to perform spectacular combo attacks. Unlike its predecessors, Ultimate Ninja Storm features slightly altered mechanics: the characters can move all over the arena, and the camera adapts to their position. Apart from the more classic battles, the game also features a story mode, which consists of over 100 missions based on the anime series.

Another installment in the popular 3D fighting game series based on the best-selling Japanese comic books created by Eiichiro Oda. The title was co-developed by Namco Bandai Games and Spike Chunsoft studio – the creators of Danganronpa and the Conception series. The plot is not very sophisticated as it serves only as a pretext for the most famous One Piece fighters to engage in duels. The game includes all of the important characters from the original manga. What differentiates this title from series like Tekken is the fact that in One Piece: Burning Blood you can control a team of three fighters that can be switched during battles any time you want. Each character has its own set of moves as well as special attacks, called Logia Moves. The key to success is the correct choice of team members, creating a versatile mix of offensive and defensive abilities.

G Corporation led by his father is the only thing standing in his way to obtain the absolute power. Soon, the sixth edition of King of Iron Fist Tournament is announced. A Japanese fighting game from the popular Guilty Gear series, originally started in 1998. The game was co-developed by Arc System Works and Daisuke Ishiwatari who has not only directed the game’s development, but also composed the soundtrack for the title. Guilty Gear Xrd –Revelator- is an extended edition of Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN-. The improvements change the game’s balance and fix some of the bugs. The game introduces new playable characters (now there are +20 heroes, including Sol Badguy, Johnny, Jack-O, Jam Kuradoberi, and Dizzy, to mention just a few) and new chapters to the single player campaign. The title follows the events of the previous installments – the story is developed by cut-scenes in-between battles. Guilty Gear Xrd –Revelator- features 1 vs. 1 fights, which are conducted in a classic 2D perspective, while the backgrounds and characters are created in full 3D. However, due to the cel shading technology, the game retains a comic book-like visual style. Apart from the single player campaign and single battles, players can play in arcade mode and different multiplayer modes.

A content-rich expansion for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, a fourth entry in the series developed by Cyberconnect 2. The plot of the expansion, called Road to Boruto, goes beyond the original manga and animated series, drawing from side entries such as Boruto: Naruto the Movie, a full-length animated movie, and the comic series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. As a result, we can relive the events that took place after the conclusion of the Naruto Shippuden series, and take control of completely new characters, which are a part of the next generation of ninja warriors (many of them are the children of the well-known heroes). The expansion doesn’t change the game mechanics in any way, focusing on introducing a new storyline and previously unknown characters such as titular Boruto (son of Naruto) or Sarada (daughter of Sasuke and Sakura). Aside from that, the Hidden Leaf Village received new locations to explore.
