The plot of Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team draws inspiration from the Dragon Ball Z TV series, letting us face such iconic villains as Cell or Freezer. The game also features additional modes, including Dragon Walker Mode in which we participate in a series of subsequent fights. The title is characterized by high-quality graphics that are strongly inspired by the works of the legendary Japanese cartoonist.

Another installment in the popular series of fighting games developed by Arc System Works. The story was divided into three chapters and it tells about the further adventures of characters known from the previous entries in the series. There are also new characters like Hibiki Kohaku, Naoto Kurogane and Hades Izanami. The gameplay is faithful to the roots of the series – BlazBlue: Central Fiction focuses on duels fought in two-dimensional environment. A special version of Distortion Drive called Exceed Accel is a novelty in the series – it allows the character to deal enormous damage. There is also the Active Flow mechanism that activates when a player plays very aggressively – it provides stronger attacks and faster Burst regeneration. Arcade Mode and Multiplayer are the main modes of the game and they are accompanied by Speedstar Mode (the objective is to defeat a specific number of opponents in limited time) and Alliance Mode (team battles in which the defeated opponents can join player’s team).

A crossover between a 2.5D platform game and a brawler, developed by Romanian studio Angry Mob Games. Players take part in duels waged on small arenas, filled with rock formations and simple structures. In order to win you have to push your opponent off the ledge or reduce their energy to zero. Brawlout offers a cast of playable heroes, each featuring a unique set of moves – individual attacks can be developed and modified as you continue to make progress. Besides, each hero has a deadly special attack, called Rage, which can be launched after filling a special bar. Among the playable characters there are e.g. an agile monkey with a chain, or a Yeti, able to freeze his opponents. Brawlout can be played solo (throughout the story campaign) and either with up to seven other players online or locally on one screen. The game features eye-pleasing graphic design kept in cartoonish stylistics.

The series takes place in a world that is a combination of feudal Japan, magical fantasy and modern technologies where one of the most important roles in shaping the geopolitical situation belongs to villages that train ninja warriors who are later rented out for money. All three games in the collection have the same basics and the goal of the games is to fight with other warriors that have their own fighting style and unique special attacks. However, all titles are thoroughly remastered and thanks to that they offer a smoother animation, better anti-aliasing and a higher resolution.

The production utilizes a free-to-play model with microtransactions. The game is set in a fantasy world inspired by Asian legends and features warriors, who can use superhuman powers. The gameplay consists of one-on-one duels in a gesture-based combat system. Those classic fighting game rules have been expanded by adding some role-playing elements. You create your character, which can be further developed thanks to a skill tree, allowing you to unlock new techniques and attacks. The production features a single player mode and a multiplayer mode; the latter allows you to fight other players or join them in the co-op mode, in which you battle the AI.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is a classic representative of the fighting games genre. It was developed by Arc System Works. The game is a 2.5D fighting game – it means that gameplay mechanics are fully two-dimensional despite the fact that locations are made in 3D. Tag system is the heart of the game. The player chooses two characters before the battle. They can control only one of them simultaneously but can also switch between them during the fight. Each of the fighters has a separate health bar. The title features a large variety of characters, including ones from games BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night in-Birth and the animated series RWBY. All characters feature unique fighting styles with various special attacks and combos. Developers introduced a few single player modes, but the multiplayer is most enjoyable part of the game – it can be played on a single screen or via Internet.

A 2.5D fighting game developed by the independent developer Digital Crafter. Fight of Gods resembles other fighting games such as Capcom's Street Fighter IV, so the character models are 3D, and the battles are set in two-dimensional environments. Each fighter features a unique set of moves and special attacks, which have to be learned by heart and used to chain spectacular combos to efficiently fight both AI and other players. The main aspect that makes the game different from other fighter games is its main theme. In the game, the player gets to control not regular heroes but gods. This includes e.g. Jesus Christ, Buddha, Zeus, and Odin. The game delivers several modes, one of which is the tutorial allowing the player to familiarize themselves with the abilities features by the character they have chosen. Moreover, one can fight the AI-controlled opponents in the single player mode and face other players in the local multiplayer mode.

The gameplay mechanics of Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 don’t differ much from the previous entry, but the game introduces some improvements. The expanded edition offers one returning and one new character: female samurai Baiken and the “business ninja” named Answer. All previously available characters received new techniques and smaller improvements that impact the gameplay balance. The game is available as a separate production and as a paid DLC for the original game.

The gameplay is based on searching for openings in opponent's guard and dealing instant, lethal attacks. We can fake attacks, parry when there is need for that or perform quick dodges. The unique, dark and grim graphics are Slice, Dice & Rice's strong point. Another plus is that we can play in single player mode but we can also face another player, local or online.

During the game we traverse fully three-dimensional locations, moving to the right side of the screen – just like in classic beat'em up productions. In combat we take advantage of a rich set of moves and combos, and in the most difficult moments we can rely on powerful robots. In between the missions, we spend the reputation points we gained in-game to improve the skills of our superhero. Game is designed to be played alone or in local co-op.

Like in the previous installments, the gameplay focuses on one-on-one (or rather three-on-three) battles, and you can choose from a variety of familiar characters, possessing different fighting styles and special abilities, and from a range of large arenas. Before each fight, you pick a team of three warriors: the leader that you control directly and to AI-controlled companions, which allows you to perform spectacular combo attacks. Unlike its predecessors, Ultimate Ninja Storm features slightly altered mechanics: the characters can move all over the arena, and the camera adapts to their position. Apart from the more classic battles, the game also features a story mode, which consists of over 100 missions based on the anime series.

A hybrid of various genres, containing elements characteristic of cRPGs and fighting games. It’s a continuation of the popular video game Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi, developed by Bandai. The players are once again taken to a iconic universe created by Akira Toriyama, reliving the events shown in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT series. The gameplay focuses on spectacular duels, taking place on fifteen different arenas – to emphasize the power of our heroes, we can now use or destroy many elements of the environment. We are left with over a 100 playable characters, including Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and many more. Each of the fighters has a unique fighting style and dozens of moves, with another plane of possible attacks unlocked with the transformation system. Aside from dedicated single-player modes, the developers introduced a number of multiplayer variants. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is characterized by high quality visuals, faithful to the style presented in the original manga.

Another installment in a series of fighting games developed by Spike. The franchise was based on classic manga series by Akira Toriyama and takes the player to the titular Dragon Ball universe dominated by masters of different various martial arts. The game offers over 150 fighters representing different races, such as the Saiyan (Goku, Vegeta), inhabitants of the planet Namek (Piccolo), humans (Tenshinhan, Krillin) or androids (#17, #18). Each of the characters has a unique set of attacks and special abilities. Moreover, many of them are capable of transforming and accessing new, more powerful attacks by doing so. Fighting takes place in 20 in-game locations and particular arenas can be visited both in daylight and when it is dark. What complements Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, are high-quality visuals that remain faithful to the art style Toriyama has been popular for.
