Another fighting game created by Dimps studio, based on the cult-classic manga created by Akira Toriyama. The mainstay of the game are the “Dragon Missions”, where we have the opportunity to take part in the events that weren’t used in the Dragon Ball Z games up to now – for example, Goku’s adventures during his stay in the afterlife. A number of different heroes were left at our disposal – aside from the aforementioned Goku, the game roster contains Vegeta, Trunks, or Piccolo. In all, we can take control of one of forty characters, each having different attacks and special abilities. The trademark attack – Kamehameha – is also on the list. The whole game is complemented by high quality visuals, faithful to the manga’s visual style.

It features forty fighters and enables the players to participate in exciting duels on arenas. Tekken Tag Tournament 2, designed based on the sixth main entry in the series, features the option to participate in fights between two-person teams. The teams consist of fighters selected from a roster of fifty most popular characters from all Tekken games that were released across twenty years of series’ history. Soulcalibur V is an entry in a different series that is as popular as Tekken. Contrary to the Tekken series, in Soulcalibur the warriors are using melee weapons – mostly various types of swords. The main difference in comparison to the previous entries is a set of completely new playable characters, the majority of which are the descendants of well known characters (for example Patroklos and Pyrrha are children of Sophitia).

The game was co-developed by Arc System Works and Daisuke Ishiwatari who has not only directed the game’s development, but also composed the soundtrack for the title. Guilty Gear Xrd –Revelator- is an extended edition of Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN-. The improvements change the game’s balance and fix some of the bugs. The game introduces new playable characters (now there are +20 heroes, including Sol Badguy, Johnny, Jack-O, Jam Kuradoberi, and Dizzy, to mention just a few) and new chapters to the single player campaign. The title follows the events of the previous installments – the story is developed by cut-scenes in-between battles. Guilty Gear Xrd –Revelator- features 1 vs. 1 fights, which are conducted in a classic 2D perspective, while the backgrounds and characters are created in full 3D. However, due to the cel shading technology, the game retains a comic book-like visual style. Apart from the single player campaign and single battles, players can play in arcade mode and different multiplayer modes.

A content-rich expansion for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, a fourth entry in the series developed by Cyberconnect 2. The plot of the expansion, called Road to Boruto, goes beyond the original manga and animated series, drawing from side entries such as Boruto: Naruto the Movie, a full-length animated movie, and the comic series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. As a result, we can relive the events that took place after the conclusion of the Naruto Shippuden series, and take control of completely new characters, which are a part of the next generation of ninja warriors (many of them are the children of the well-known heroes). The expansion doesn’t change the game mechanics in any way, focusing on introducing a new storyline and previously unknown characters such as titular Boruto (son of Naruto) or Sarada (daughter of Sasuke and Sakura). Aside from that, the Hidden Leaf Village received new locations to explore.

Both installments have been developed by the Italian studio Brucefilm that has previously worked on music videos and commercials. Stay Dead Evolution stands out from other fighting games mainly because of the fact that the sequences one gets to see on their screen have been shot with real actors. These sequences can be joined and played as fights, in which the character controlled by the player fights five opponents and can deliver over a hundred strikes and different attacks. Gameplay comes down to pressing the right buttons at the precise time. It is crucial for a player to maintain the rhythm and perfect timing. The fifth installment in the series of arcade fighting games developed by Team Ninja. The game offers more than twenty playable characters among which one can find Ryu Hayabusa and Momiji known from the Ninja Gaiden series, female ninja warriors Kasumi and Ayane, wrestler Tina, crazy Zack, and a few newcomers. The fighters can be personalized, for the player unlocks outfits for them. As usual, the player participates in fast-paced duels requiring them to play aggressively and intercept enemy punches directed on different body parts in order to achieve victory. The game features the infamous breast physics simulation which is a characteristic trait of the series. Fighting takes place on multi-leveled, three-dimensional arenas containing destructible elements. Apart from the single-player mode complemented by a storyline and a boss fight at the end, Dead or Alive 5 offers over a dozen of different game modes, including multiplayer ones.
