A computer RPG based on a tabletop roleplaying system called Numenera that combines elements of fantasy and science-fiction. The title was created by indie developer inXile entertainment, mostly known for the highly acclaimed remake of The Bard’s Tale and post-apocalyptic Wasteland 2. The game is a spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment - one of the classics of the genre, created by Black Isle Studio in 1999. The original game’s co-creator, Colin McComb, was the lead designer in this new project. The game is set in the distant future, where humanity created a society on a civilization level similar to the Middle Ages, albeit the setting features also rare examples of highly-advanced technology left after more advanced, extinct civilizations. Gameplay is based on the rules of the tabletop system, appropriately modified for the needs of a computer game. The game features isometric perspective and real-time action, although the battles themselves are turn-based, as well as a system of moral choices, which have impact on the world and reactions of non-player characters.

Inspired by a popular game Papers, Please, this is an unusual mix of genres by the Polish studio Polyslash. We. The Revolution is set in the 18th-century Paris during the French Revolution. The player takes the role of a judge in the Revolutionary Tribunal, who judges both revolutionists and their enemies, as well as criminals and ordinary citizens. After accepting a particular case, you have to look through files and evidence, interview the people involved, and finally state the verdict – either just or one serving your interests. During the game you get to make lots of decisions that affect not only the course of the protagonist’s career or the fate of his family and friends, but also the balance of political power in the capital of France. As the game progresses, the character that you control also gains more and more influence, which allows him, for example, to participate in various conspiracies, or even start a struggle for power.

The sequel to the funny point-and-click adventure game developed by Daedalic Entertainment. The action of the game takes place on the planet Deponia, which is filled with various garbage. When the board that manages the giant flying city of Elysium decides to destroy that garbage dump, Rufus, the main protagonist of the first game, decides to put an end to their plans and save his home planet. However, in order to get to Elysium, the protagonist needs the codes that are hidden inside the head of his beloved one, Goal. When he tries to obtain them, the girl's psyche splits into three different personalities. In order to save the world, Rufus will have to once again conquer the heart of his beloved, which due to her current state will prove to be almost impossible. Gameplay mechanics of Chaos on Deponia don’t differ from the original game that was released few months earlier. The gameplay consists mostly of exploring, gathering items and solving riddles.

Tunic is an isometric action-adventure game. We play as a anthropoid fox who explores a fantasy land full of treasures and monsters. The game's plot is told mostly through pictures and events as most of the lines are written in unintelligible, fictional language. In Tunic, we explore big, partially open maps, gather items, and fight many various enemies, including powerful bosses. Developers created an arcade combat system that allows us to execute various attacks and dodges. A stamina bar gives the game a tactical element (we use stamina for attacks and player-activated techniques). Even though Tunic does not have your typical character progression system, we can upgrade our hero's skills by getting better weapons and equipment. The game uses Unity engine and has eye-pleasing 3D visuals.

In terms of gameplay, the title invokes the classics of the genre, offering characteristic isometric view and real-time combat with active pause. The game puts you at the helm of a 4-person party of heroes of different races (5 to choose from) and classes (6 available). Although you can play solo, the developers stressed the advantages of cooperative gameplay. One of the novelties in the game is the role of Dungeon Master – the pillar of any tabletop RPG. The player who takes this role can influence gameplay e.g. by deploying traps and monsters.

The developers intended to simulate the whole career of an adventurer – from humble beginnings to retirement. An experienced, retired warrior can provide his successor with some of his equipment and teach him skills, so that he can continue the journey. The title also features an arcade combat system, survival features and a crafting system. Outward offers a cooperation mode that enables the players to play locally or through the internet.

The events are shown as series of flashbacks shown during the testimonies of the members of his squad. The gameplay remains faithful to the mechanics used in previous installments of the Gears of War series. However, the developers introduced a few innovations such as the Smart Spawn System.

A prequel to Life is Strange – an episodic adventure game developed by DONTNOD Entertainment. The new title was developed by Deck Nine Games and it enables the player to assume the role of Chloe Price, a character well known from the original game. The story presents how the protagonist met Rachel Amber and how the strong bond between two teenagers was born. It is worth mentioning that Chloe has no special abilities – this means that the choices made during the game cannot be changed. Life is Strange: Before the Storm focuses on gradually revealing pieces of the story and making various decisions that impact the plot. All other aspects of the game, like exploration, interactions with NPC and riddle solving, are secondary to the above mentioned elements. Similarly to the first entry in the series, the game has expressive graphics that features pastel colors.

A sequel to a popular adventure game series created by the Belgian comic artist Benoit Sokal and Microids Studio, released over a decade after the second part. The story focuses on adventures of Kate Walker, a young lawyer, whose profession, in-born curiosity, and adventurousness get her entangled in a new mystery. Throughout the game, featuring classic point-and-click mechanics, you meet a whole menagerie of characters known from the previous installments in the series, as well as a cast of new heroes, including Still Life's protagonist and an FBI agent Victoria McPherson. Despite of using full 3D graphics that replaced hand drawn backgrounds, the game features the characteristic artwork style consistent with previous games.

Each ship can be customized with additional parts that change its looks and combat effectiveness. The game takes place in an open world in which the player competes with artificial intelligence and with other players. During the battles it is important to take advantage of water currents, prepare proper tactics, and to cooperate with allies. It is also important to select adequate ship for the type of task the player intends to complete.

Soon after Locust implement a new technology allowing them to produce cave-ins that can swallow entire cities. Fenix and his team once again join the war effort with the intention of defeating the enemy once and for all. Mechanics are based on a well-proven formula utilized in the first part of the game. Gameplay focuses on dynamic action emphasizing the cover system. The title introduces a new, easiest difficulty level, new weapons, and a wider variety of enemies and NPCs around which the plot revolves.

The battles are played in real time and the player can use variety of melee and ranged weapons and gadgets. The success lies in proper tactics and taking advantage of the surroundings.

Wasteland 3 no longer takes place in the deserts of Arizona, but in the icy Colorado, and you play as a member of the Desert Rangers, whose team members were murdered, and he needs to build his position from scratch. The gameplay consists mostly of exploring, completing main and side quests, and fighting turn-based battles. The exploration part has been made easier by the introduction of vehicles, which also act as a portable storeroom. The combat and dialogue systems have been expanded. The Ranger's base also plays a more important role now, being the central element of the in-game world. You have to create it from scratch and properly develop it by implementing upgrades.

This six-part episodic story focuses on the House Forrester, whose members, although missing from the TV show, appeared in the fifth book of the saga. Known for ironwood trade, the Forresters are trying to survive the War of the Five Kings, while competing with House Whitehill. Gameplay employs the classic point-and-click mechanics. In Black Mirror, the player travels through depressing locations, chat with NPCs, and solves more or less complicated puzzles – these are similar to those in classic point-n-click adventures. The visions and nightmarish hallucinations play a crucial role in the game – once the hero experiences them, he may learn more about his family house’s past. The amazing visuals feature faint colours which intensify the gloomy atmosphere.

Other highlights include the new system of global communication, and an improved matchmaking system that pits beginner players against similarly skilled opponents.
