A third-person action game in a quasi-historical setting, with a focus on online competition. The production was developed by the experienced studio Ubisoft Montreal, whose portfolio includes several cult series, including Far Cry and Assassin's Creed. In the game, three factions are pitted against each other: The Chosen, The Legions, and The Warborn, modeled after the Japanese samurai, European knights, and Scandinavian Vikings respectively. During the game, each party is represented by dozens of warriors, but only four of them are controlled by players and equipped with unique abilities that can turn the tide of the battle. The game puts a great emphasis on a realistic reproduction of individual warriors’ fighting styles, and skirmishes are mostly based on the ability to use melee weapons, proper tactics, and special abilities of heroes. The online mode is complemented by a story mini-campaign that serves as an introduction to the gameplay.

An action adventure game focusing on multiplayer, set in an open world filled with pirates, treasures and exotic lands to explore. It is a work of the experienced studios Rare – creators of such classic series as Donkey Kong and Banjoo-Kazooie. Players take on roles of corsairs taking part in countless adventures, both on land and open sea. Gameplay revolves around exploration and searching for legendary pirate treasures, though there is a lot of fighting against monsters, as well as epic naval battles of competing groups. As can be easily noticed, Sea of Thieves takes a lot of inspiration from classic tales of pirates, but depicts it in a very humorous way, which is emphasized with its cartoonish visuals.

The third installment in the series of adventure games started in 1999 with Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. Dreamfall: Chapters was developed by Red Thread Games led by Ragnar Tornquist. The story of the game presents further adventures of the young protagonist, Zoe Castillo, who thanks to her highly unusual powers is able to travel between three worlds: the magical Arcadia, the technologically advanced Stark and the mysterious Storytime. Since it is a traditional adventure game, the gameplay focuses on such features like item gathering, conversations with non-playable characters and riddle solving. Despite the rather small budget of the game, developers of Dreamfall: Chapters have created attractive visuals generated by using the popular Unity Engine.

At the beginning, the player has only a single ship, but as he progresses through the game he obtains an entire fleet of various ships that differ among each other in agility, firing range, and durability. Each ship can be customized with additional parts that change its looks and combat effectiveness. The game takes place in an open world in which the player competes with artificial intelligence and with other players. During the battles it is important to take advantage of water currents, prepare proper tactics, and to cooperate with allies. It is also important to select adequate ship for the type of task the player intends to complete.

Dragon Age II: Legacy is a new adventure that can be started at any moment during the main campaign. It starts with an attack of a dwarven Cartel that hunts the Hawke family for an unknown reason. The investigation takes the protagonist and his companions to a Grey Warden prison in the mountains, where they discover the truth about the the protagonist's father and the identity of his persecutors, and also face the most powerful of all Darkspawn. Apart from the aforementioned prison, the expansion introduces several other areas, including vast wastelands. We will encounter a few new beasts on our travels, such as brontos or genlock alphas that hide behind giant shields. Beside the main storyline, Dragon Age II: Legacy offers side quests as well as previously unknown armor sets and special weapons that can be customized.

Titanfall utilizes a modified version of the Source Engine, resulting in a nice compromise between high-end audiovisual layer and moderate system requirements.

The gameplay of the third game in the series employs similar mechanics as its predecessors while offering some new attractions such as never brand-new weapons and enemies. During the single player campaign the player can find almost 60 various types of collectibles. A new multiplayer mode called Beast Mode was added to the game and the cooperation mode was greatly improved, now allowing for up to 4 players to play by using a single console.
