God of War Ragnarok: How to destroy green blockades?

What are green blockades?

As you go through the game, you may encounter all sorts of green blockades like barricades on the road or carts with green cargo. Kratos' standard attacks can't destroy them.

Unlocking special arrows

You will learn how to destroy them by doing the main plot - during the visit to Nidavellir in Svartalfheim.

The main characters will meet Sindri, who will upgrade Atreus' bow. This will unlock sound arrows.

Using Atreus' help

From now on, you can order Atreus to shoot green targets. Look at a green block/object and press Square when the green arrows appear.

Atreus carries a limited number of arrows, but they get restored after a moment. Use sound arrows to destroy all green blockades.

Destroying green objects during fights

In most cases, green blockades block access to new paths and collectibles. Some of them have to be destroyed to advance further in the game, while others are optional.

You can also shoot green objects during battles. They can then be, for example, supports, like the one marked in the picture. Hitting such a target will destroy the structure - the enemy standing on it will fall down.
