God of War Ragnarok: How to increase health bar and rage bar?

In God of War Ragnarok, you can improve the hero's statistics in various ways. On this page of the guide, we focused on increasing Kratos' health and rage bars permanently. This will make it easier for you to stay alive and use the Spartan Rage for longer.

Increasing maximum health

The way to permanently extend your health bar is to find Idunn Apples while exploring the worlds. The bar can be extended immediately, or after collecting several apples.

Apples are a type of special loot found in Nornir chests, i.e. large containers that require solving rune puzzles to open them (e.g. hitting 3 runes with Leviathan and choosing the right symbols).

There is also a way to temporarily extend the health bar. You can do this by equipping gear with Vitality bonus(example in the picture). Gear, in most cases, can also be upgraded to further increase the stats bonus.

Increasing maximum rage

You can also permanently extend the Spartan Rage bar. In this case, you have to find the Horns of Blood Mead. The bar can be extended immediately, or after collecting several horns.

You can also find horns in Nornir chests (rune chests) as unique loot.
