Kojima - the father and screenwriter of the iconic Metal Gear Solid series, as well as the upcoming Death Stranding - announced that his latest game has entered a "critical phase" of development. The developer is said to be playing this title on PlayStation 4 every day, but for the time being it is still a product that requires testing and debugging. Nowadays, the creators focus on combining individual fragments of the production into a single consistent piece.

"[Death Stranding] is not yet in difficulty adjustment or debugging stage; for now, we are to combine all the parts made in [different] tools into one game. It's a process during which we will join the components, we will strip the flesh from or flesh out the controls and locations, refine the specifications and fix any trouble encountered as we play the game on an actual PS4 every day. It's a critical phase," said the developer on Twitter.

We would like to remind you that Death Stranding was announced at E3 2016. The game is an PlayStation 4 exclusive, but there is no release date yet. So far, the revealed promo materials are very mysterious. Recently we learned that the game may be released a little later than its creators assumed. We may find out more about it in today's PlayStation State of Play stream.
