Ghost of Tsushima 2 in Development? Job Advertisement Suggests So

A job advertisement published by Sucker Punch suggests that the team is already preparing for development of Ghost of Tsushima 2, a follow-up to this year's hit.

Ghost of Tsushima turned out to be an excellent production and one of the best games this year. That's why we were very pleased with reports suggesting that Sucker Punch are already preparing for a follow-up.

Such conclusions can be drawn from the job advertisement, which appeared on the studio's website. The team is looking for ascreenwriter for the new project. Experience in creating storylines in games with open world and dialogues reflecting the character of the historical era in which the action is set is required. Additionally, knowledge about feudal Japan is rewarded. It's hard to imagine it could be anything else than Ghost of Tsushima 2.

A continuation seems to be a natural step for Sucker Punch. The first part was received very warmly and turned out to be a smash hit. An equally successful continuation would establish Ghost of Tsushima as one of the most important new Sony IPs.

As a reminder, the first part debuted on 17 July this year, exclusively on PlayStation 4. Thanks to backwards compatibility, PS5 owners will also be able to play the game, which will run at 60 frames per second on this console.

After the release of the game, the authors took care of the development of the free DLC Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, which was released last week. The extension focuses on the online mode. The update also introduced new trophies, additional items, armor elements, and the ability to tame dogs.
