Are you unable to get past loading screen during matchmaking in Battlefield 6? It can get stuck and make you wait indefinitely. Here you will find more information about this problem.
It seems that some fans got sick of colorful and varied operator skins that are recently the staple of recent Call of Duty titles. Maybe because of that, hundreds of thousands of players (via SteamDB) are flocking to Battlefield 6, which started its Early Access Beta tests yesterday. The first impressions gave a lot of hope so the servers quickly got clogged. Not only network infrastructure showed some holes, but the game itself is prone to crashes, black screens and errors. Additionally, some modes appear to be locked and numerous entitled players can’t joint the game earlier. The most recent problem, however, is an infinite loading screen that keeps you stuck while waiting for the matchmaking process to end. Let’s try to analyze what has transpired.
Update: Developers have announced that they prepared a fix for the issue, at least for those who experience it during Siege of Cairo.
After coldly received Battlefield 2042, everything shows that Battlefield Studios has learnt the lesson and Battlefield 6 is an addition to BF franchise that fans have been waiting for. While the latest installment is planned to have a singleplayer campaign, the beta focuses on a multiplayer component. As expected from the test phase, issues are quite common. We have already seen an Unknown Error message that appeared after 2 minutes of unsuccessful matchmaking and general issues related to this functionality. Now, a new problem occurs – infinite loading screen.
It is interesting that this specific issue is something new, which didn’t happen before, at least according to players’ experience. Sadly, currently there is no fix for it, though as a silver lining, the developers have acknowledged that there is something wrong with matchmaking on their official Discord server, so we can expect some resolution sooner rather than later. It is highly probable that it will be solved quickly, as the beta will enter its “open for everyone” stage in the upcoming hours.
It is nothing unusual that more issues can surface while trying to fix the old ones. The general players’ frustration is understandable, though delivering finished and interesting product takes time and effort. Let’s not forget that this is exactly the purpose of testing stage of a game – to find and weed out all the possible challenges, so that they are not present when the title fully releases.
As a reminder, Battlefield 6 is scheduled to make its official debut on October 10, 2025. Till then, it is possible to give this production a shot during its open beta periods. There is still time to enjoy it. Have fun!
