Rise of the Ronin: How to perform a Bond Transfer? Transfer of Power trophy
Transfer of Ties is an action related to the bronze trophy Transfer of Power from the game Rise of the Ronin. In the tutorial, we show you how to transfer a selected trait from a source item to a target item.
In Rise of the Ronin, a mechanic called Bond Transfer allows upgrading equipment items by transferring properties from the source item to the destination item. On this page of our guide, we describe the requirements and the sequence of actions needed for performing a Bond Transfer, whose successful completion also unlocks the Transfer of Power trophy.
Preparations for relocation - Bond Jewel
- To perform one Bond Transfer and successfully unlock the related achievement, you need at least one Bond Jewel (you can look up how much you have of them in the first tab of the inventory screen - screenshot above).
- Bond Jewels are quite rare in the world of the game. You can get them e.g. as a reward for chosen missions or by completing Photography Challenges (Photography Studios on region maps).

How to perform Bond Transfer at a blacksmith?

- Visit any blacksmith - you will find at least one such NPC in each of the main cities.
- After talking to the craftsman, select the Bond Transfer option from the menu (screenshot above). You need to choose what property you want to transfer from item 1 to item 2. It has a practical use if you have acquired an item with some useful feature (e.g. extension of the hero's health bar or a bonus to Ki regeneration).

On the screen 2 slots for equipment will appear:
- Destination Item - here you put the item you want to improve and add a new property to.
- Transfer Item- the slot on the right is for the item you want to remove the trait from and transfer it to the Destination Item. It is very important to remember that the Transfer Item will be destroyed after the process. Do not sacrifice an item from a rare set or one you may find a use for later.
An exemplary transfer of a property to the left item we marked with a yellow arrow in the screenshot.

Bond Transfer is not free of charge. You'll need:
- 1 or more Bond Jewel- the higher quality the item you want to transfer the property from, the more Jewels spent.
- Crafting materials - you can find them as loot, buy, or receive e.g. as quest rewards.
- Coins - a single transfer may cost several or even tens of thousands of coins.
