World exploration

1. After completing the tutorial of Rise of the Ronin the hero can explore a large open world.
2. Fast travel, traveling on horseback and using a glider can help you traverse the world - all of these topics are discussed on separate pages in the FAQ chapter.
3. Main regions may contain, e.g. inhabited locations with friendly or hostile NPCs, various secrets and collectibles (e.g. cats), mini-games (e.g. firearm training) or bosses' headquarters. Exploring the open world can help you speed up character development, as well as allow you to find valuable equipment.

Main cities and regions

1. There are 3 bigger cities in the game - Yokohama, Edo (present-day Tokyo) and Kyoto. Each of them has dense buildings and consists of various districts, where the hero can find, among others, quest givers, service providers or merchants.
2. In addition to urban areas, you can also explore lands around the cities. These can include villages, campsites, forests, beaches, mountainous areas, or ruins of ancient buildings. Many of these locations hide, for example, unique NPCs or secrets.
3. Additionally, while traversing the game world, you may trigger small random events. Dealing with them can lead to special rewards or an increase in knowledge of a given region.
