Stellar Blade: Why does EVE refuse to start the Secret Request quest?

During your adventures in Stellar Blade, you may have problems with starting a quest on the Bulletin Board - Secret Request in Xion. On this page of our guide, we explain why EVE refuses to undertake the quest, and how to bypass this and be able to continue with the mission.

1. As the story progresses (in this case, after Altess Levoire quest is initiated), on the Bulletin Board in Xion there will be new batches of quests appearing. Among them, there is the Secret Request, a quest that offers a sizable 5,000 gold for its completion.

Why does EVE refuse to take on the task?

1. The attempt to pick up the quest will fail. Instead of receiving the "In Progress" status, the task will receive the Rejected status on the bulletin board.
2. The above situation is not a result of any of your actions. Instead, the reason for this is that the task doesn't agree with EVE's ways and worldview, as it involves obtaining illegal goods. The main heroine wants to help Xion, not act against the interests of the city or Orcal.
3. To sum all of this up, you cannot continue with this task and this was a design choice by the developers. The quest will remain on the board with the Rejected status, and only thing you can do is to continue with the remaining activities.

1. The described situation will happen again in the later stages of the game. After Light of Hope story mission is initiated, a new quest - The Diary's Revenge - will appear on the Bulletin Board.
2. This time, EVE will refuse the take part in the revenge plot directed at people who looked inside a private diary. Therefore, the quest is automatically refused and the reward in the form of 10,000 gold cannot be collected.
