Gaining experience points is crucial in order to develop the character and unlock new, useful skills. In this part of the Dying Light The Beast guide, you will learn what are the most effective methods for fast leveling. Here we present ways to gain EXP by completing missions, fighting and parkour, as well as explain how to obtain the Explorer outfit and use the night modifier to significantly speed up this process.

Completing main and side quests

This is the simplest way to earn experience points. Many missions will guarantee you over 10 thousand experience points, so it's worth doing them.

Parkour and killing zombies

Every time you kill a zombie, escape from them, or use parkour will earn you more experience points. The harder and rarer the opponent, the more points you will receive. When you see an opportunity to kill a large number of infected, it's worth taking advantage of it and earning some EXP.

Perform activities

Apart from side and main missions, there are also activities such as clearing out safe zones or safe spots. Apart from the benefits of finding shelter and the option to rest, you will also receive over 2-3 thousand experience points.

Increasing the points of experience gained

The previously described methods guarantee a substantial amount of experience points. However, there are 2 additional options that will allow you to get many more of them.

The first method is hunting at night. The experience modifier then doubles. This is quite an effective option for gaining more experience. However, be on your guard, as the streets are much more dangerous then.

However, you can lure enemies close to safe zones, which have UV lamps. By standing in the light of lamps, zombies trying to catch you will be stunned for a moment, which will make the fight with them much easier.

You can even lure Volatiles to gain even more experience points and interesting items. More about this on a separate guide page: How to easily kill Volatiles.

As for the second method, in the Town Hall in the Old Town, you can go to the merchant and buy the entire Explorer set. Each piece of clothing will guarantee you an additional 2% of experience. By wearing the whole set, you will receive as much as 12% more experience. It's worth equipping it, especially in the early stages of the game, as it will significantly speed up the process of acquiring new skills.
