Dying Light The Beast: How to kill the Volatiles?

The Volatiles are some of the most dangerous enemies you can encounter at night in Dying Light The Beast. However, there is an effective tactic that will make the fight against them much easier and very profitable at the same time. On this guide page, we explain step by step how to use UV light and beast mode to quickly eliminate these monsters to obtain valuables and a lot of experience points.

Lure Volatiles to safe zones near UV lamps

When night approaches, head towards the exit from the safe zone (e.g. the Town Hall in the Old Town). Charge the beast mode bar almost to the end. You will need it to deal with these enemies.

When the bar is almost full, step out a bit beyond the safe zone and lure the Volatiles to you. When this happens, run as quickly as possible to the safe zone, near the UV lamps. This will provide you with relative safety.

Fully charge the beast mode

Attack the Volatiles weakened by UV light a few times. This should allow you to activate beast mode. While in this mode, the fighting opponents becomes quite simple. A few attacks and a Volatile's health should drop to zero. You will also be able to execute them to defeat them even faster.

Why are the Volatiles worth killing?

Volaties should be killed for two reasons:

1. Experience: You will gain a lot of experience points for defeating them, and those gained at night are counted double.
2. Valuables: Morphine (a legendary item) often drops from defeated Volaties, as well as other valuable items of epic rarity, which can be sold for a high price.
