Bus Simulator 17 is a bus driving simulation developed by Alexandru Marusac, an experienced mobile app developer. The creator prepared a number of varied vehicles – from a school bus to an urban double-decker. We drive the vehicles, transporting people not only throughout a city but also in the mountains, on a desert, or other rural areas. The game features advanced physics and destruction system, which forces us to drive carefully. Dynamic weather conditions and traffic also influence the driving. The production, available for Android and iOS, lets us play solo in the campaign and the Free Ride mode or with other players in the multiplayer. The above is complemented by three-dimensional graphics with carefully modeled vehicles. Bus Simulator 17 is available for free within the free-to-play business model, featuring micropayments, for example, for removing advertisements displayed during the game.

A real-time strategy game enriched with elements of RPGs, city builders, and survival games. Ancient Cities was developed by the independent developer Uncasual Games. The player assumes the role of a tribal leader living in the Neolithic era. The tasks of the player are to provide shelter and protection against predators for the members of the tribe, as well as to obtain sufficient amounts of food. Gathering resources (the whole in-game economy is based on them) resembles a survival game, as flora and fauna are simulated within a dynamic ecosystem. Consequently, wild plants and animals are soon not enough to sustain a constantly growing tribe. In harsh periods, the player has to distribute supplies wisely - for instance, foods naturally degrade over time. Things can also get complicated as a result of sudden climatic changes and natural disasters - one oftentimes has to decide whether to stay in one's settlement and try to survive a difficult period, or to abandon the base in search for a safer zone. Alongside progression, the player unlocks new upgrades in the extensive technology tree, which allows for improvements to one's methods of crafting and cultivation, making the tribe's existence easier in the long run. Members of the tribe are described by individual sets of statistics, talents and skills. These mechanics are complemented by having more or less friendly relations with other tribes.

A survival sandbox game, in which the player assumes the role of an astronaut, who is trying to stay alive on a desolate planet. Developed by Craneballs, Planet Nomads offers the player with a procedurally-generated open world. One has to tend to his character’s basic needs - this means satisfying both hunger and thirst, as well as taking care of his general health condition. The main protagonist can fall ill, get a concussion, and break a limb, so one has to take notice of the threats posed by the environment, in the form of the planet’s fauna and flora. Additionally, one has to avoid poisonous gases, extreme temperatures, and radioactive radiation. In comparison to other games from the survival genre, Planet Nomads stands out in terms of its gameplay mechanics, allowing the players to erect structures using over a hundred different segments; this is also how one can create a vehicle to explore the planet more easily, and a spaceship to set off to a space voyage. All of this, however, requires resources - in order to find them, a player has to venture beyond the safe areas and scavenge the planet’s recesses that are much more dangerous. As the game progresses, one gains access to certain gear improvements - the multi-tool used for gathering resources, the protective space suit, and the jetpack. The game offers an additional treat in the form of the ability to destroy elements of the environment, composed of voxels. Planet Nomads offers support for mods.

A first-person action game developed by Uppercut Games, the company also known for creating Submerged. The game was inspired by The Book of One Thousand and One Nights, and tells the story of a thief who is trying to steal a treasure from a cursed city haunted by evil ghosts and monsters. The players get to traverse randomly generated locations in search for loot and gold, fighting numerous foes on the way. What makes the whole experience a bit more difficult is the permanent death system - each failure means that the player loses all of their possessions and has to start over. City of Brass is not an unfair game though - the players learn from their mistakes and, with time, are able to find enemies’ weaknesses, move more dynamically around the map, as well as use both traps and elements of the environment to their own advantage. Moreover, on occasions, one is bound to encounter friendly jinn who sell better equipment and grant a wish, as a result of which a ghostly companion might join the player in the battles to come.

The gameplay consists of one-on-one duels in a gesture-based combat system. Those classic fighting game rules have been expanded by adding some role-playing elements. You create your character, which can be further developed thanks to a skill tree, allowing you to unlock new techniques and attacks. The production features a single player mode and a multiplayer mode; the latter allows you to fight other players or join them in the co-op mode, in which you battle the AI.

The game offers two basic gameplay modes – Story Mode, which allows the player to lead a chosen team throughout the whole season, and Exhibition Game, a single match that sees us play against either a human player or an AI-controlled opponent. The game is characterized by average visuals and a slightly cartoonish visuals that should appeal to most players.

Regardless of whether the battle takes place on land or at sea, the key aspect of the game is the cooperation between teammates. Both battle types feature soldiers of various classes with distinct characteristics and roles. The naval battles feature large sailing ships, on which you have various responsibilities. The land battles can take place in open areas or, alternatively, they can also be sieges. Both scale of the battles and location sizes are exceptionally large. The combat mechanics are realistic — it takes time to reload you weapon, but instead you can try fencing, which is easy to master, but also gives the player much freedom.

The player controls a ninja warrior who wants to have his revenge. The action is presented from a side perspective and the gameplay focuses on traveling through locations and fighting encountered enemies. The protagonist can use various moves. The key to victory lies in agility and reflexes. A special drug called Chronos is helpful at some points of the game – it enables the protagonist to slow time. The title has high difficulty level – a single shot or hit can kill the protagonist.

The main characters of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni are teenage female warriors that are the victims of the mysterious V virus which gave them paranormal abilities. The girls are living on an island isolated from the world and together they fight hordes of mutants. The mechanics of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni are similar to ones used in classic Japanese TPP hack and slash games like Devil May Cry. During a mission the player is fighting large groups of weaker opponents and powerful bosses. The female warriors can dodge and perform various attacks that can be combined into combos. The player can control one of seven playable characters and is accompanied by a female partner – what’s interesting, she can transform into a weapon for the player to use in combat. The story is presented like in visual novels and the story campaign offers different endings. The game also offers training mode, survival mode and various types of multiplayer modes for up to four players.

A game created by Dawid Szymanski, an indie developer, in collaboration with New Blood Interactive. The game represents the action genre and was inspired by the classic games that came out in the 90s. The plot in DUSK is only an excuse for flashy and brutal gameplay, and during the game we have to face hordes of enemies with supernatural abilities. The levels are diverse: we can choose from a modern city infrastructure, through churches, to dark undergrounds. We also have access to various weapons such as pistols, machine guns or grenade launchers, but we can also use sickles and crossbows. Besides the campaign, we can also play in a competitive multiplayer and Endless Survival Mode, in which we have to face subsequent hordes of enemies. The graphics aren't that impressive as they clearly refer to the aforementioned classic games.

An FPP action game with stealth elements, developed by indie studio The Outsiders. The game is set in the alternative Middle Ages, where Scandinavia is inhabited not only by Vikings, but also by a forgotten race of sapient beasts. You play as one such creature, observing how it grows up into a ferocious predator. At first, Project Wight seems like a stealth game, as the beast is weak and cannot fight, so it has to sneak past enemies and hide in places humans are unable to reach. As the game progresses, however, the protagonist learns how to violently get rid of foes, run amazingly fast, and even glide and deafen enemies with a horrific scream. The game utilizes the Unity technology, and the 3D visuals are very detailed and feature realistic lighting effects.

Ultimate General: Civil War is set during the titular American Civil War, and the player can take part in more than 50 historical battles - the list features both small skirmishes and battles that lasted for days - those require hundreds of square kilometers of virtual space. The player has full control of their armies and subsequent victories result in their reputation growing, which allows the player to obtain new kinds of units, as well as divisions and brigades. Soldiers gain experience in combat, which makes them gradually more effective in battle. What is characteristic about this game, is its high level of realism - different weapons in the game represent their real-life equivalents from the period. Furthermore, analyzing the topography of terrain accurately and making use of advanced combat tactics is the key to success. Apart from the single player campaign, the game offers a special mode, which allows the player to play a particular battle. It is also worth noticing, that Ultimate General: Civil War comes with a set of options allowing the player to adjust the level of the game's complexity to one's individual preferences.

Skirmishes are played at a slow pace, requiring the right timing of attacks and effective anticipation of enemies' movements.

In order to achieve this goal, they must gather and process resources and then use them to create goods. The player must also construct buildings, optimize the work of factories and make sure that the workers are happy – all of that while balancing the budget. The player isn’t alone on the moon as there are also other corporations present. They are controlled by artificial intelligence and they compete with the player using both economy and military. This forces the player to build their own fleets – the ships are constructed manually in an editor.

A real-time strategy game developed by independent Australian studio EarthWork Games. The player finds themselves in the middle of a war fought between three sides. They all are trying to gain access to the limited oil supplies. The action is presented by using a side perspective and the player is tasked with constructing the titular forts. After constructing, they must be defended. At the same time the player must focus on destroying enemy strongholds. The constructions are built using valuable resources, acquired for completing the mission. These resources are used for developing new weapons. Obtaining more powerful tools of destruction enables the player to finally destroy the enemy fort. Commanders equipped with unique passive skills and special abilities are helpful as well – they can determine the outcome of the skirmish. In addition to a single player campaign, Forts features a skirmish mode where the player can face artificial intelligence or up to seven other players. The game also features a map editor and supports user-created mods.
