A spin-off to the series of action games with RPG elements, originally developed by Polish studio Techland. As the owner of the title, Deep Silver chose the Swedish Fatshark studio as the developer for the spin-off. They are known for multiplayer-oriented games such as War of the Roses and War of the Viking. As a result, the players received a third-person perspective action-adventure game, the story of which takes place in between the first and the second part of the series and connects them together. The main hero – Cliff Calo – decides to trace the origins of the zombie virus outbreak and document them. Together with his friends, Cliff sets out on an expedition that soon turns out to be nothing more than a constant fight for survival, as any contact with the living dead ends up in death. You can use a wide arsenal of inventive weapons, but the gameplay emphasizes stealth elements and silent elimination of the enemies. The game features distinctive colorful graphics that utilize cel-shading technology.

The work of a one-man Canadian studio Brace Yourself Games in the form of a unique independent production that combines features of seemingly contrasting elements of a roguelike RPG and a dancing game. Crypt of the NecroDancer lets us play as a girl named Cadence, who sets on a journey to find her missing father. It leads her to the mysterious crypt ruled by an evil demon known as NecroDancer. It casts an unusual curse on the protagonist, making her heart always beat in rhythm of a music. As far as its mechanics go, NecroDancer is and old school action RPG. We explore procedurally generated dungeons and fight various monsters using weapons and magic. What makes the game unique is the fact that enemies move to the rhythm of music, and Cadence must adjust to their dance to defeat them. Each enemy she encounters has his unique style, and discovering the correct combination of moves is the key to success.

The fifth installment in a series of racing games initiated in 2010 and devoted to rallying. Despite entrusting a completely new crew with the task of creating this game, the mechanics haven't changed significantly since previous installments - WRC 5 was developed by Kylotonn Games, the creators of such games as Bet on Soldier or Hunter's Trophy. The player's goal is to complete subsequent career events by taking part in competitions such as WRC, WRC 2 or WRC Junior, for example. The creators obtained the World Rally Championship licenses, allowing real-life teams, drivers and co-drivers to appear in the game. The game offers new, more realistic driving physics, as well as carefully recreated rally stages from 14 countries. WRC 5 is the first installment in the series to be released for eighth-gen consoles, which resulted mainly in a visible increase in the quality of the visuals, as well as implementation of changing weather conditions.

The second stand-alone expansion for Company of Heroes 2, the game developed in 2013 by the Relic Entertainment studio. As the subtitle of the add-on suggests, in the game we return to the Western Front of World War II during the famous German counter-offensive in the Ardennes. In contrast to the first expansion that focused on multiplayer mode, this time the developers decided to concentrate on the single player campaign. During 18 subsequent missions telling a single, coherent story we take charge of the American units fighting against the forces of Nazi Germany. Game develops dynamically depending on our decisions, and the key to success is to gain experience, plan tactically and wisely manage a very limited supply of people and equipment. Technical aspects of the game remained unchanged, but the developers decided to introduce three new American companies with unique officers.

In order to do it, the protagonist must get through series of heavily guarded locations while being equipped only with katana and a hook that allows her to climb on walls and attach herself to the ceilings. The battles are played by marking targets and at any moment of the game the time can be stopped in order to plan the next move. Another simulator created by Gamecask and published by PlayWay. In the game, the player assumes the role of a construction company president with a goal to achieve financial success. Construction Machines 2016 is based on two main aspects, the first one being the strategy – in this case, one gets to manage an entire enterprise, sign new contracts, and invest the money one has earned in order to unlock more profitable undertakings and some new locations. The second aspect is the simulation itself, where the players can operate numerous construction machines and construct, demolish, or maintain buildings with their own hands. Among other things, the players get at their disposal excavators, huge construction cranes, and dump trucks. What is worth mentioning, the player has to maintain and improve the aforementioned machines – in total, the game offers 40 upgrades to install on the vehicles. The entire experience becomes even more interesting with all the available tools, such as wrenches, hammers, and even some explosives. Construction Machines 2016 is based on a new technology and the 3D visuals present a relatively high-quality execution – especially the dynamic demolition system, which delivers satisfying animations of collapsing structures and other elements from the environment.

Shock Tactics is a turn-based strategy inspired by the classic games like the X-COM series or Jagged Alliance and the TV show Firefly. The game takes place in the far future, where mankind colonized the universe. We play as an ex-convict who was sent on a dangerous mission. His job will be to lead the colonization of a newly discovered planet. Ruthless mercenaries hired by the intergalactic Syndicate and a mysterious race that originated from humans will stand in his way and try to stop him from fulfilling his mission. During our adventures we will be exploring the planet, divided into several procedurally generated continents. Firstly, we will have to secure checkpoints and set convoy routes. In time, we will unlock new areas and learn the secrets left by civilization that once lived there. We can use the gathered knowledge to improve and develop our base and conduct research on new technologies. During missions, we lead a group of up to six unique soldiers. Taking advantage of the environment plays an important role during battles.

Another installment in the popular series of fighting games developed by Arc System Works. The story was divided into three chapters and it tells about the further adventures of characters known from the previous entries in the series. There are also new characters like Hibiki Kohaku, Naoto Kurogane and Hades Izanami. The gameplay is faithful to the roots of the series – BlazBlue: Central Fiction focuses on duels fought in two-dimensional environment. A special version of Distortion Drive called Exceed Accel is a novelty in the series – it allows the character to deal enormous damage. There is also the Active Flow mechanism that activates when a player plays very aggressively – it provides stronger attacks and faster Burst regeneration. Arcade Mode and Multiplayer are the main modes of the game and they are accompanied by Speedstar Mode (the objective is to defeat a specific number of opponents in limited time) and Alliance Mode (team battles in which the defeated opponents can join player’s team).

A riot simulation strategy game. Riot is the debut production from Stimunation, an Italian studio whose lead designer is a former cutscene producer at Valve. The action of Riot takes place in modern times. The society is forced to resort to mass rioting because of an economic crisis. The developers prepared an extensive campaign that lets us take part in the most famous riots of the recent years either as the protesting crowd or the police that try to restore order. The game also features a hot-seat multiplayer mode. What’s important, Riot doesn’t make fun of its subject but tries to present its essence. To faithfully recreate the reasons and the course of various riots, the developers interviewed people that participated in them on both sides. Virtual protests are shown in attractive pixel-art graphics that brings the visuals of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP to mind.

A stand-alone expansion pack to the turn-based strategy game Elemental: Fallen Enchantress that was developed by Stardock. Elemental: Fallen Enchantress – Legendary Heroes expansion features a new single player scenario, in which the kingdoms of a fantasy realm must prepare to face a new threat. Additionally, the game features various gameplay upgrades. One of the changes is the rebuilt Champion system. Now the Champions are coming to the player – who assumes the role of the ruler of one of the kingdoms – when a certain fame level is reached. In addition to that, instead of having random skills, Champions have a separate skill tree. Thanks to that, the players can control their development. The changes also include the battle system – strength in numbers became more important. Elemental: Fallen Enchantress – Legendary Heroes also features new types of monsters and many additional spells. Graphics and animations were improved as well.

An action game modelled on Cannon Fodder, in which we take command over a small group of well-armed soldiers. Our task is mainly to murder hundreds of enemies. The camera is located high above the heads of the characters, and the whole thing offers a very humorous approach to the war subject matter.
