Strategy, City Builder, Crowdfunding, Economic, RPG Elements, Historical, Indie Games, Prehistory, Singleplayer, Survival.
A real-time strategy game enriched with elements of RPGs, city builders, and survival games. Ancient Cities was developed by the independent developer Uncasual Games. The player assumes the role of a tribal leader living in the Neolithic era. The tasks of the player are to provide shelter and protection against predators for the members of the tribe, as well as to obtain sufficient amounts of food. Gathering resources (the whole in-game economy is based on them) resembles a survival game, as flora and fauna are simulated within a dynamic ecosystem. Consequently, wild plants and animals are soon not enough to sustain a constantly growing tribe. In harsh periods, the player has to distribute supplies wisely - for instance, foods naturally degrade over time. Things can also get complicated as a result of sudden climatic changes and natural disasters - one oftentimes has to decide whether to stay in one's settlement and try to survive a difficult period, or to abandon the base in search for a safer zone. Alongside progression, the player unlocks new upgrades in the extensive technology tree, which allows for improvements to one's methods of crafting and cultivation, making the tribe's existence easier in the long run. Members of the tribe are described by individual sets of statistics, talents and skills. These mechanics are complemented by having more or less friendly relations with other tribes.

The player is tasked with bouncing the ball with the so-called flippers located at the bottom of the table to hit multiple targets and keep the ball in the game for as long as possible, before it falls into the drain located at the bottom of the play field, below the flippers. The objective of the game is to earn the best score possible. In comparison to the previous installments in the series, Pinball FX3 puts a much stronger emphasis on the multiplayer experience as well as social aspects of the game. The players can enter friendly matches, compete within an online league and tournaments organized by the fans themselves. Moreover, the game delivers several single player modes allowing the player to increase their skills and familiarize themselves with general rules.

We can choose from a roster of eight characters, each of them has different appearance, weapons and special abilities. Additionally, they all have their unique stories which we discover during the game. The feature that distinguishes this game, developed by an indie studio called DojoGames, is the lack of a health bar. The gameplay is based on searching for openings in opponent's guard and dealing instant, lethal attacks. We can fake attacks, parry when there is need for that or perform quick dodges. The unique, dark and grim graphics are Slice, Dice & Rice's strong point. Another plus is that we can play in single player mode but we can also face another player, local or online.

The game takes place in a fantasy world where, as a result of the war between demons and humans (aided by dragons), magic is not as strong and present as it once was. Instead of magical portals, people use planes as means of intercontinental transportation. We play as a treasure hunter who was saved from death by a lamia and is forever bonded with her by a blood contract. As we play, we will spend most of our time on exploration and combat. Our protagonist uses cold steel weapons and his companion relies on combat spells. Combat is observed from top-down perspective and played in real time, but it’s possible to briefly slow down time so that you can give orders to your heroes. Throughout the campaign you traverse the 13 floors of the tower, which amounts to 20-30 hours of gameplay. A city builder strategy game created by Mindillusion. The player is placed in charge of an early-medieval settlement. One's prime goal here is to maintain an appropriate balance between expanding the village and being able to survive in a hostile environment. Thus, apart from utilizing more and more space, constructing new buildings and upgrading the existing ones, the player has to give proper winter clothing to their subordinates and deliver them with balanced meals. The last can be achieved through growing different kinds of plants, breeding animals and storing food; making light of these aspects can result in dangerous epidemics. Apart from that, the player's village can fall victim to attacks of predators and various natural disasters, such as tornadoes or storms, which can cause a fire. All such events affect the spirit of the villagers, which is reflected by a special meter - unhappy workers become less productive. Life is Feudal: Forest Village offers a three-dimensional environment. Interestingly, the player can switch between an isometric view and first-person perspectives (as one of his subjects).
