A free DLC expansion for the online shooter Team Fortress 2 released in 2007 by Valve. The story of the Mann vs. Machine expansion focuses on a robot invasion due to which the Red and Blue mercenaries must unite their forces and face a common enemy. The gameplay was designed with cooperation mode for six players in mind. The players who control the characters must face waves of robots and destroy the Mann Co. factory in which the machines are created. The developers created 3 completely new maps, on which one can use previously unavailable weapons and abilities. Most features of Mann vs. Machine are available for free, the only exception being the option to play in Mann Up mode on the official Mann Co. server. It requires having a special Tour of Duty Ticket but compensates for that with the possibility to use unique items that can be used in Team Fortress 2.

A unique platform game with highly interesting visuals. It is the first production by Moon Spider, whose members used to work for e.g. Pixar, Dreamworks, and Studio Ghibli. The backgrounds and characters have been hand-drawn by experienced specialist artist. The game also features a gospel choir soundtrack. In Harold you play as a guardian angel called Gabe. His main task is to protect the clumsy, bespectacled Harold during a series of races on a tracks full of obstacles. To complete his mission, Gabe has to prepare the road his human will take. It entails getting rid of dangers or creating new paths. Harold races across many parts of the world, such as the sunny Egypt or a humid jungle. Moreover, there are numerous ways of reaching the finish line on each track.

The action of Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty takes place in a previously unknown desert location, where, among the dunes, lies a small settlement called Oasis. Bandits led by Captain Scarlett live and operate in that area. What’s interesting, the members of this group act, look and talk like real pirates. Their story and the legend of the hidden treasure are the main plot of the expansion pack. During the missions available in Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty the player faces previously unknown enemies and four new bosses: Captain Scarlett, Leviathan, Hyperius the Invincible and Master Gee the Invincible. The desert locations can be explored by using a vehicle similar to a hovercraft. The expansion adds new item type and currency. Each of the five available characters received an optional pirate costume as well.

The player enters a world that survived a great war, where groups of survivors are hiding in small mountain settlements, forced to fight in search for supplies and resources. Each of the three episodes tells a completely different story shown from the perspective of a different character. The gameplay mechanics are similar to the ones used in the later installments of the Fallout series, although the game focuses more on storytelling and action sequences than on RPG features. The game features unusual black and white graphics with contrasting red blood. What’s interesting, the graphics were traditional at first, but the developers decided to change them after the community suggested it, fascinated by one of the trailers of the game.
