A real-time strategy which takes place in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The game was released as a result of cooperation between the publisher THQ and Relic Entertainment, the studio known for Homeworld, among other games. The story of Dawn of War focuses on one of the many conflicts in the world of Warhammer. It focuses on Gabriel Angelos – the leader of Blood Ravens chapter of the Space Marines - who tries to stop an Ork invasion on his planet. Similarly as in the majority of real-time strategies, the essence of the game is leading troops during combat. Thanks to the unique setting and various futuristic weapons, the battles are spectacular and very brutal. The game lacks the typical resource gathering element, usually used for improving the base. Instead, the resource system was based on conquering and controlling key locations. The way how units look is worth mentioning – they are based on authentic figurines created by Games Workshop.

This time around, the protagonist has to face his nemesis, Kaiba, and fight subsequent duels in the locations known from the TV series, all belonging to the sinister Kaiba Corporation. Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Kaiba the Revenge offers more than 300 new cards that allow the player to build even mightier decks. During a duel we can apply various combinations and tactics — from straightforward monster attacks to setting traps and casting spells that deprive our enemies of initiative. The game retains the visuals style characteristic of the animated TV series. The game boasts an enhanced artificial intelligence, intuitive interface as well as an extensive tutorial for beginners.

An MMORPG created by Trion Worlds studio. The players enter the world of Telara, which struggles to repel the invading forces of Regulos the Destructor. The defenders, however, are split into two warring factions: Guardians, and Defiants. RIFT lets us create a hero based on one of the four archetypes (warrior, primalist, rouge, and mage), and set out to complete various story and side quests, exploring the fantasy world and fighting encountered enemies. During the gameplay, we have to face not only AI-controlled monsters, but also, after joining one of the aforementioned factions, players belonging to the opposing organizations. One of the interesting mechanics in the game are the invasions – to stop the influx of beasts flowing into Telara through randomly located gates, the heroes have to form up groups to repel the attacks. During spectacular skirmishes, we use a wide array of combat abilities, which are unlocked in the course of the gameplay. The game is complemented by high-quality visuals, and offers a free-to-play model with optional paid subscription.

The bad news is that various infernal beasts have already managed to make their way through that portal. BFG Edition offers all the contents of the original game, the Resurrection of Evil expansion and a completely new episode consisting of seven levels and called The Lost Mission. Doom 3: BFG Edition features improved visuals with upgraded texture quality and supports both the stereoscopic 3D and 5.1 surround sound technologies. Having console players in mind, the creators rebuilt both the controls and the system of checkpoints. Additionally, Doom 3: BFG Edition contains both the 1993's Doom and 1994's Doom II.

Vinnie’s skills and abilities come in handy when doing our job. He can use all sorts of firearms (shotguns, riffles, pistols, etc.), do a double jump, kick, roll, or use two guns at the same time. We can also use elements of the environment to eliminate our enemies.

The plot of Punch Club (also known as Video Hero Super Story) tells a story of a boy whose father was brutally killed. Twenty years later, the hero decides to become the best fighter in the world and find out who was responsible for his father’s death. Apart from fighting, the player needs to take care of the character’s everyday activities. You have to follow a diet and train, which will help you face ever stronger enemies, but to do that, you will need to have a well-paid job to cover the costs of, for example, exercising equipment. The game features old-school pixel visuals, which resemble video games and films from the ’80s and ‘90s.

Another installment in the popular third person perspective action series with RPG elements. Since the third game of the series, the franchise is being developed mostly on Nintendo handhelds. Similarly to its predecessors, Monster Hunter X was published by the Capcom company and developed under the supervision of Yasunori Ichinose – the director of the previous portable installments of the series. The game mechanics haven’t changed much, allowing the player to travel through a fantasy world and complete various missions that focus mostly on fighting monsters. A mountain village called Beruna is the player’s base of operations, but during the journey, the player will also find locations known from other Monster Hunter games. Worth mentioning, among the novelties added in the game, are four unique movement sets that are the equivalent of Skill Ranks from Monster Hunter Frontier G8. This system is supplemented by Hunting Techniques based on finishers from Monster Hunter Online.

It was created by a single Romanian programmer known as Claudiu. When we start our adventure with PC Building Simulator, we have a simple PC case at our disposal and we have to put the motherboard, the power supply unit, the GPU, and other PC components in the right place. After doing so, we will have to connect them with the right cables. The game uses a simple and intuitive interface. The creator of PC Building Simulator was authorized by the leading manufacturers of PC parts to use the likeness of their products. Thanks to that, we will use PC parts that we can actually buy in stores.

Another edition of one of the most advanced flight simulation games in development since the 90s by Laminar Research, a studio connected to NASA. X-Plane 11 does not deviate from the standards of the series in any way and offers its players the possibility of piloting a wide variety of civilian and military aircraft — starting from light planes, through giant passenger planes, and ending with helicopters. Traditionally, the game is characterized by impressive realism both in terms of the accurate recreation of available machines and flight physics. Compared to its predecessors, the production offers a revamped user interface, enhanced avionics, and even more detailed, fully functional 3D cockpits. Moreover, the title features new buildings and roads that better recreate the characteristics of Europe as well as airports that teem with life. There, we can see all kinds of vehicles, including maintenance and other AI-controlled machines.

911 Operator is a game, a strategy-simulator developed by Polish studio Jutsu Games, which is a reiteration of a project which won the Indie Showcase competition held during Digital Dragons 2016. In 911 Operator you become a rescue service operator, and your job is to answer calls from people in danger. The story campaign takes place in 10 cities – you will face many different challenges; some of them amusing, some serious, some frustrating. During the game you have to give advice concerning administration of first-aid as well as choose the right number of people and equipment to send to the scene. A nice touch in the game is the fact that you can sometimes receive prank calls, which have to be recognized and ignored.

When a mysterious power defiles the source of life within the mountain, turning local creatures into bloodthirsty monsters, we must set on journey as subsequent members of the family to gather seeds of life and stop the spread of chaos. Gameplay in Children of Morta focuses on exploring procedurally generated levels, collecting items and arcade battles against monsters. This is complemented by a typical character progression system and equipment, with the addition of alchemy and crafting. Despite its old-school formula, the game stands out with its rich, multi-threaded plot and difficult moral choices that affect the story.

A stand-alone expansion for the strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War developed by Relic Entertainment. The basic novelty introduced in Dark Crusade expansion are the two new factions. The first one are the humanoid robots known as Necron. They are a faction of undead killing machines. The second new faction is the Tau Empire. They are technologically advanced and have remarkable skills in diplomacy. The game takes place on a desert planet named Kronus, which sparks also the interest of other factions known from previous installments of the series (there are seven factions in total). In the campaign mode the player must conquer 25 provinces of the planet. The developers decided not to create a typical, lineal story (except for a few key moments), instead giving the players complete freedom in conquering the whole area. A modified character development system is one of the novelties introduced by the expansion – the faction leader can buy better equipment and skills with special points obtained during the game.

In The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, we assume the role of a hero who, ordered by the Emperor Uriel Septim VII, sets out to the eponymous city to investigate why the soul of King Lysandus was unable to rest in peace and why it haunts the city’s streets at night. As far as gameplay is concerned, the game does not deviate significantly from its predecessor and offers an even bigger world, twice the size of Great Britain, to explore. The title’s nonlinearity remains its biggest attraction, though. The huge amount of freedom of action allows us to develop the our hero in any and all ways as well as engage in a number of additional activities and side quests. Depending on the player’s choices, the production offers six different endings.

The story is non-linear and is distinguished by the mechanism of making constant choices between good and evil, therefore each interaction with the environment, each conversation with an NPC, and even a fight influences the further plot progress and our character’s development path. The game offers fully 3D graphics with third-person perspective view and a real-time combat system that requires combining individual strikes into complex sequences.

In Thief: The Dark Project we take the role of Garret, a young adept of the art of thievery, who leaves the ranks of a secret brotherhood to start working on his own. During the following 12 missions the protagonist will explore various locations filled with many enemies – from ordinary humans, through guards and professional assassins, and up to blood-thirsty fantasy monsters. The game revolves around stealth and encourages you to fulfill your objectives silently while avoiding direct confrontation with enemies, as most of the time they lead to instant death. At the time of release, the game stood out thanks to its impressive three dimensional graphics filled with atmosphere of the dark, Medieval times and suggestive sound effects.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a classic RPG developed by Owlcat Games in cooperation with the one and only Chris Avellone. The game is based on the popular Pathfinder RPG system and takes the players to a typical fantasy land where they will have to build their own kingdom and defend it. We observe the game from an isometric point of view and, as we play, control a party made of characters with different abilities. During our adventures we will explore a vast realm where we will complete primary and side quests, and fight with the encountered enemies. In combat, we can use magic and typical fantasy weapons. Managing our kingdom plays a crucial role in the game. We will have to build settlements, towns, and strongholds, and make various decisions that reflect our hero's nature.
