The game takes the players to a near future and allows one to assume the role of gamer, who spends his time playing a Virtual Reality MMORPG called Gun Gale Online. Players observe the action from the third-person perspective and the gameplay revolves around exploring the world, developing the character, and most importantly, combat. Battles exhibit an arcade nature and require the player to use a wide variety of firearms. Apart from the story campaign, the developers have implemented a multiplayer mode, in which the players can compete against others in team deathmatches or engage in the cooperative mode, in which they combine their forces to fight even more powerful bosses.

The player assumes the role of agent JC Denton and discovers that a secret organization named Majestic 12, which eventually intends to rule the world, is responsible for the deadly virus. The gameplay mechanics of the game combine FPS, stealth and RPG features. Thanks to special nanotechnological augmentations the protagonist has inhuman abilities that can be gradually improved as the game progresses. Denton can use various weapons which can be also modified. The story of the game is non-linear, and depending on the choices made by the player it might led to one of three alternative endings.

In Commandos 2: Men of Courage we take over a squad of well-trained commandos, sent to complete various missions behind enemy lines. The group now consists of a green beret, a sapper, a spy, a driver, a sniper, and a diver, with occasional appearances of Natasha, a seductress, and Whiskey, a dog, which is a completely new addition to the series. Each of the characters has his own set of skills, which are often indispensable for the mission to end with victory. The game contains 10 complex levels taking place all around the world, and divided into a number of smaller segments. Our commandos can now move around interiors (including a submarine), and have new skills and movement options. The game is powered by an improved graphical engine that offers various zoom levels, and four different camera shots (every 90 degrees).

A dynamic racing game created by Bugbear Entertainment - a Finnish developer studio. The game references such franchises as Burnout or Destruction Derby, because in this competition causing as much damage as possible during the race is as much important as who crosses the finish line first. The player takes part in brutal races taking place on 48 different tracks filled with shortcuts and destructible objects. The game is arcade in terms of the driving physics, though car damage affects both the performance and the handling of the car. Flatout features an extensive single player campaign, during which the player buys new cars and upgrades them gradually. However, multiplayer competition was also included. Apart from regular races, the game offers destruction derbies and a series of crazy mini-games requiring the player mainly to launch the driver through the windshield.

A science-fiction action game played from the first-person view and created by Raven Software - an experienced developer popular mainly for series such as Hexen, Heretic, Soldier of Fortune, or the latest installments in both the Quake and the Wolfenstein series. The player assumes the role of an American soldier sent on a mission to investigate a mysterious, post-Soviet island. It turns out that the place is constantly traveling in time as a result of mysterious forces affecting it. The unsuccessful Soviet experiment that is at the bottom of this situation was supposed to change the course of the Cold War. The game is based on the classic formula enriched with original time-traveling elements. The players have the Time Manipulation Device at their disposal and thus they can make objects and enemies either younger or older at will. This allows the player to recapture a moment when a bridge was in one piece for example. More than once, the player has to travel back in time in order to affect the present timeline and make a progress in the story by doing so.

Gameplay of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis consists of developing and expanding your park (terrain edition included), erecting diverse buildings and attractions, and taking care of the park’s budget along with high-quality customer service. During the campaign composed of 12 huge missions, you need to display management skills and quick reaction to emergencies (like bloodthirsty Velociraptors at large). The title enables the players to walk in a visitor’s shoes – you can explore the park by foot, while flying a helicopter, or in a car. You can step out of a vehicle anytime and e.g. take some pictures.

Age of Empires

The gameplay focuses on building our own settlement (based on four architectonic styles: Asian, Egyptian, Middle Eastern, and Greek), acquiring necessary resources (wood, food, stone, gold), researching new technologies, and recruiting military units. Aside from four story campaigns, Age of Empires includes special scenarios, a skirmish mode with AI-controlled opponents, and a multiplayer mode for up to eight players. The game is characterized by its hand-drawn, 2D graphics.
