RPG, Fantasy, FPP, Classic RPG, Might & Magic, Singleplayer.
The sixth major installment of the cult RPG series. Might and Magic VI: Mandate of Heaven tells a completely new story that fills the plot hole between the second and third installment of the Heroes of Might and Magic series. The action takes us to the fantastical land of Enroth which was plunged into chaos after king Roland Ironfist had disappeared and the apocalypse worshippers decided to overthrow prince Nicolai to put their leader on the throne. The eponymous Mandate of Heaven can only be reclaimed by the player-controlled party of four heroes — this time, they are all human and represent character classes typical of the universe. The novelty in the series is the possibility of choosing between turn-based and real-time combat mode. In technical terms, the production is a great step forward in history of the series since it features seasons, a day-and-night cycle, and fully three-dimensional graphics that let us rotate the view by 360 degrees as well as look up and down.

There, we meet the protagonist, the Nameless One, an immortal man who will be trying to regain his identity and memories throughout the game. The title is powered by the game engine employed in a bestselling RPG, Baldur’s Gate, and features similar gameplay mechanics. In the game, we control a party of very original characters and the gameplay focuses on performing subsequent quests connected to the past of the protagonist. The game heavily emphasizes the plot, while real-time combat, although present and featuring active pause mechanics, is of second importance.

The 9th main entry in a classic jRPG series, originally released in 2000 on PlayStation console, and ported to PC ten year later. After a few games featuring slightly cyberpunkish settings, Final Fantasy IX returns to the roots of the series, where we are once again met by knights, princesses, and dragons. Players take the role of a young thief, who, together with a company of other heroes, faces the evil queen Brahna, who is responsible for the outbreak of a great war. However, as it turns out, the queen has been nothing more than a pawn in the hands of a much more dangerous enemy. In terms of game mechanics, the game is a combination of proven solutions with some limited innovations, such as a redesigned profession system or ATE mode (Active Time Event), which allows us to see what other team members are doing, give access to numerous side quests and a chance to collect various useful items.

A first-person survival horror game developed by Polish development studio IMGN.pro. The game's story is inspired by true events that took place in 1959 at the Dyatlov Pass in the Ural mountains, where the dead bodies of nine Russian hikers were found, and the cause of their death remained unclear. We only know that most of them died of hypothermia, and evidence indicates that they were forced to flee from an unknown danger. In the game we explore an open, icebound world, having only a map and a compass at our disposal. On our way to reach the goal, we have to deal with many dangers lurking in the mountains. There is no combat, and the only way to survive is by escaping. A special system called "fear manager" has been developed for the game. Depending on the player's actions, it adequately handles all the factors responsible for building an eerie atmosphere, which makes each new game a bit different.

The AI does not reveal anything about what happened at the station and the protagonist tries to solve the mystery on her own. For the most part, the player explores the station and discovers various secrets that slowly build up a larger picture. Because the game is set in space, the player not only walks here, but also moves up and down in zero-gravity areas. A continuation of a wacky 2D platform shooter, which in terms of mechanics resembles classic games such as Contra and the iconic Metal Slug series. Developed by OrangePixel, the game delivers even more chaos caused by countless bullets, enemies, and explosions making it impossible for a player to calmly analyze the situation on the screen. Luckily, throughout consecutive stages, there are numerous first-aid kits, which are able of healing even a nearly dead hero. Completing the main campaign is not very problematic, even though it has been divided into 56 separate levels. A much bigger challenge is posed by the Arcade mode, in which the player (with only one life) is tasked with covering the longest distance possible. The game features a style typical for other games developed by OrangePixel – simple, 2D visuals are not too elaborate, however, because of the dynamic gameplay, the player does not have much time to notice that.
