A digital adaptation of the strategy board game created by American company GMT Games. Twilight Struggle takes place during the Cold War and the player assumes the role of a leader of one of the two empires – USA or USSR. The game is played in turns on a global map. The rivaling sides are playing with cards that trigger events beneficial for one, either, or neither side of the conflict. The cards can be used for things such as strengthening one’s position, at the cost of the opponent, or technological development. At the same time both sides must be careful as escalation of the conflict can lead to a nuclear holocaust. The “What if?” mode is an interesting addition. It allows playing in an alternative reality in which, for example, whole Berlin was conquered by the western nations and the elections in England in 1945 were once again won by Churchill and his conservative party. The base of the gameplay in Twilight Struggle is a rivalry between two players, but there is also a single player mode available, in which one faces artificial intelligence.

The game is set in a distant future, when humans developed a highly advanced AI, leading to a period of unrestrained technological advancement. All humans abandoned their former bodies and transferred their consciousness into electronic systems. However, humans did not eliminate their worst instincts. Fueled by greed, they started a war with machines for a valuable substance called computronium. Gameplay mechanics is based on the typical RTS formula. While playing you gather resources, capture power stations to expand your base and army, and conduct technological research. Large-scale battles are fought across the surface of entire planets. In order to simplify unit management, you can create so-called meta-units, which are easier to control on the battlefield.

A sequel to the bestselling racing game that was a spin-off to the flagship series of racing games developed for Xbox consoles. The title was developed by the creators of the previous entry: Playground Games (Xbox One version) and by Sumo Digital (Xbox 360 version). The new installment takes place in Southern Europe where another Horizon festival takes place. The festival is filled with good music and variety of racing challenges. Similarly as its predecessor, the title offers a large, open world where hundreds of licensed cars await the player. Similarly as the first entry in the spin-off series, the game offers a driving model that is slightly simplified in comparison to Forza Motorsport – it focuses mostly on making the races impressively looking. For the first time in the series the developers implemented a dynamically changing weather system which adds some realism to the races. The developers also added the Drivatars system known from Forza Motorsport 5, enabling the virtual drivers to gain experience even if they don’t participate in the game.

A sequel to a classic turn-based war strategy, Battle Academy, developed in 2010 by Slitherine and based on a simple online game promoted by BBC television. The second installment takes you to the Eastern Front of the World War II. The year is 1941, after the Nazi Germany launched the famous Operation Barbarossa, aimed at their former ally – the USSR. Battle Academy 2 offers four campaigns for a total of 30 missions. Apart from that, you can also play through individual scenarios or fight in the skirmish mode. In order to make the gameplay more diverse, maps are generated randomly. At its core the gameplay looks a bit like in the Panzer General series. The developers meticulously recreated over 130 authentic units and combat vehicles from the World War II period. Battle Academy 2 also introduces minor changes to mechanics, such as smoke, short sprinting for infantry units, aerial support, partial damage and tactical use of trenches.

The game offers a new combat system that, while being more complex, is also easier to learn. The system is augmented with three brand new techniques: V-Skills, V-Reversals, and V-Triggers, based on the rechargeable V-Gauge bar. The base game features 16 playable characters, including the greatest legends of the series, and 4 new fighters. More characters, as well as whole lot of extra content can be bought for special virtual currency you earn in the game. Street Fighter V allows for cross-platform competition for owners of PCs and consoles. The game features cel shading graphics, powered by the modern Unreal Engine 4 that allowed for a quality leap in comparison with the previous installments. At the same time the developers managed to retain the series’ characteristic look.

Remake of a unique horror action adventure game from Ice-Pick Lodge, which originally launched in 2005 for PC. Its new version was created according to the developers’ first concept, which was previously impossible to realize in full, due to technological and financial limitations. Pathologic takes you to a small town, whose citizens suffer from a mysterious disease. In order to combat the epidemic the local authorities hire a group of independent individuals, whose task is to stop the spread of the virus before it is too late. All characters work independently from each other and conduct their own investigations. When compared with the original version, Pathologic Remake offers much better graphics, generated by the Unity engine. Emphasis was also put on new quests and plots, better gameplay balance, and improved AI of NPCs, as well as professional voiceover, the lack of which was the biggest fault of the original game.

Craft the World has been developed by Dekovir Entertainment. In the game, the players get to control a group of Dwarves tasked with erecting and defending a stronghold. In order to do this, they have to look for resources, construct diverse buildings, and (when necessary) fight enemy factions. For their efforts, the players earn experience points, for which they can acquire new team members. The game takes place across randomly generated worlds, each one featuring different conditions. The Dwarves use a wide range of weapons and armors, which the players can create themselves using a relatively simple crafting system. The game delivers high resolution and 2D old-school visuals, somewhat resembling the aforementioned Terraria.

A dynamic action game featuring roguelike elements. It was developed by Stellar Jockeys - an independent American team. Brigador is set on the distant planet Novo Solo in an unspecified time period of the future. After the death of the Supreme Leader, Solo Nobre - the capital city, has become the arena where four rival factions fight one another. The player's task is to liberate Solo Nobre during one night, regardless of losses suffered and the amount of damage caused. The game is played from the classic, isometric view and the player can operate various combat vehicles, such as powerful mechs. Encountering tanks, aircraft and other mechs, the player makes his way through nine subsequent districts of the city. The game does not feature a classic development system - progression here is based on gradually unlocking subsequent vehicles and weapons. Brigador is a roguelike game, thus each death of the protagonist requires the player to start from the very beginning.

The player starts the game with small supplies, so in order to survive, he must gather resources and use them to build structures and construct useful items. The gameplay concentrates on exploration and combat, using various weapons, vehicles, planes and robots. In contrast to other games of the genre, the survival aspects are only an addition. on which the player doesn’t need to focus too much.

This time around, the protagonist tries to free her niece from the clutches of an immortal wizard, Twardowski. The search of the relative leads Mary through blackwoods that teem with ancient power, steep mountain paths, and ruins that are full of imps, ghosts and other mythical creatures. To defeat the legendary wizard, the protagonist has to solve the mystery of a magic village and ask unusual allies, such as the famous outlaw Janosik, for help. While playing, we visit 30 varied locations inspired by Slavic folklore, solve logic puzzles, and search numerous levels for hidden objects. Eventide 2: The Sorcerer’s Mirror features a non-linear plot which is unusual to the genre. The heroine’s decisions influence the fate of other characters and the story’s climax. The production offers detailed hand-drawn graphics enriched with simple animation.

A first-person action game and at the same time a rather peculiar superhero simulator - Megaton Rainfall is the debut project from the independent Spanish developer Pentadimensional Games. The action of the game is set more or less in the modern times, when the Earth falls victim to an invasion of aliens who want to exterminate all humans. The player assumes the role of an immortal superhero exhibiting supernatural abilities. They are tasked with facing the alien aggressors. Players observe the action from the first-person perspective, and the gameplay revolves around the exploration of the open world, completing various missions, and fighting hordes of enemies. On their way, the players are bound to encounter armed spaceships, as well as more powerful mechanical walkers. Due to his supernatural strength, the main protagonist can demolish the city infrastructure, hover in mid-air, and fly faster than the speed of light. The game is compatible with the Virtual Reality headgear; however, it is not necessary in order to play Megaton Rainfall.

Once the headquarters and all the outposts controlled by a team, a sequence resembling the Rush mode begins - the teams attack the telegraph posts or defend them against the opposition. The French Army is the new playable faction introduced in this expansion, and Trench Raider is the new elite class, which specializes in melee combat and use of grenades. They Shall Not Pass also brings new equipment, namely Char 2C Super Heavy Tank, Saint-Chamond tank, and Siege Howitzer. Furthermore, the game was enriched with four new maps inspired by well-known battles of the First World War: Verdun Heights, Fort Vaux, Rupture and Soissons.

A compilation of remastered editions of two adventure games developed by Spike Chunsoft - a Japanese studio. The Nonary Games includes 2009's 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward - a game which came out three years later. Since the plots of the two games are strongly connected, it is recommended to play through them in chronological order. Both games offer a gameplay formula based on two branches - the story-based sequences typical for visual novel as a genre, and the adventure-like sections played from first-person view. During the sequences of the first kind, the player follows the developments in the story and makes different choices from time to time; the other segment of gameplay requires the player to solve puzzles. Compared to their original releases, the games contained within this compilation come with improved visuals. Additionally, 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors was enriched with professional voice acting (both in English and Japanese).

A dynamic third-person perspective shooter developed by Tamsoft studio from Japan. The action of School Girl/Zombie Hunter takes place in the university known from the Onechanbara series. Once Musaku High School gets invaded by hordes of bloodthirsty zombies, five schoolgirls trapped inside rise up to the challenge and face them. Cooperation is the key to success – each heroine has unique abilities, weaknesses, and strengths, so only together they can battle the enemies. They also have different personalities that we get to discover during the campaign featuring dozens of levels. The key element of the title is combat against hordes of zombies with the use of either melee weapons or firearms. The more the heroines get hit, the more naked they become. This can be used as a tactical advantage – the removed clothes serve as a bait for enemies. In School Girl/Zombie Hunter you can play solo or with friends. The title features 3D graphics clearly inspired by anime style.

You play as one of the daredevils who trust their luck and dream of an oil tycoon career, possibly also resulting in them becoming a mayor of some American town. You start the game by purchasing the necessary licenses and setting out to search for the deposits, and then finally you build your wells, where you extract the oil. As your business develops, you invest in upgrades, which increase the efficiency of your work and the amount of extracted resources. You also have to care for the proper storage and profitable selling of the oil on the local market, while by monitoring your competitors' activities, you may e.g. enter into various shady arrangements to undermine them.

A visual novel adventure game developed by Nitroplus and 5pb. Studios. The game is a direct continuation of the original Steins;Gate from 2009. The plot picks off using one of the alternative endings of the predecessor. Okabe Rintaro, a student heartbroken after the tragic death of his friend Kurisu Makise, makes an appointment to a psychiatric health facility. Nevertheless, his life changes dramatically when he meets former professor of Kurisu and his research team, conducting research on a unique technology. By taking part in the experiment, our protagonist may be able to make contact with an AI that is a simulation of his dead friend. When it comes to gameplay, Steins;Gate 0 is a typical visual novel. The gameplay focuses on following the plot and dialogues, with some occasional decision making which influences the course of the story and leads to one of its alternative endings.

Another installment in a series of popular horror games created by Scott Cawthon. The game can be considered either a spin-off or simply the next installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. As it was mentioned already in the third installment, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was not the only place occupied by murderous animatronics. In Sister Location, the players is taken to a completely new restaurant, where they are once again required to survive the five titular nights when encountering toys hungry for the protagonist's life. In terms of the mechanics, the game combines successful elements of the predecessors (observation of the building through a camera network for instance) with novelties introduced in the fourth installment, such as being able to move around or greater variety of actions the player can take.

An official collection of DLCs to the StarCraft II trilogy, launched in 2010 and developed by the creators of the original franchise, legendary studio Blizzard Entertainment. The new missions are set after the events of StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, when Terrans try to rebuild their Empire, battered after many wars. The story focuses on an agent of the Ghosts squad named November ‘Nova’ Terra, a character known from previous installments. The protagonist has to take on a dangerous group of separatists called the Defenders of Man and ensure the safety of Emperor Mengsk. Unlike the original game, StarCraft II: Nova Covert Ops features no online gameplay, but offers 9 new single player missions (3 for each DLC) instead. Interestingly, you do not have to own any StarCraft II game to be able to play Nova Covert Ops missions – you just need a free edition titled StarCraft II Starter Edition.

The title was developed by Platinum Games, an experienced Japanese studio, in cooperation with Nickelodeon. The gameplay mechanics of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Manhattan combine elements known to all fans of the series: dynamic combat with spectacular combos, the possibility of switching between characters, a large dose of humor, and tons of pizza, with the latest standards in gaming, such as open-world environment with a myriad of primary and secondary quests, advanced combat system, or online features. The production offers an extensive single player story campaign as well as the possibility to join forces with others in an online cooperation mode for up to 4 players. The title’s visuals are generated by a fully three-dimensional graphics engine that employs cel shading, which gives the game a distinctive cartoonish appearance.

A science-fiction action-adventure game featuring survival elements. It is the first major project of KeokeN – an independent Dutch developer. The player is taken to the year 2069, when humanity has to face total depletion of natural resources. Established by governments of world powers, the Worldwide Space Agency decides to resume the exploration of the Moon's surface and the player is cast in the role of an astronaut sent there among others. The protagonist discovers the existence of a huge conspiracy, which sheds new light on the Earth's situation. For the most part, the player explores the virtual environment and solves puzzles. However, the player is not entirely on their own here, for a robot accompanies the protagonist, which is helpful in said puzzle solving. The protagonist has a universal tool at their disposal and the player modifies its purpose gradually alongside progression. Additionally, survival elements were interwoven into the gameplay. For instance, the player encounters locations which lack oxygen and so one is required to make the best possible use of what air they have left.

A first-person rail shooter developed by Destructive Creations, a Polish studio known for the controversial Hatred. The action of IS Defense takes us to the year 2020, when Europe is attacked by the Islamic State. The players assume the role of a NATO soldier who operates a heavy machine gun, and their task is to eliminate advancing enemies. As far as gameplay is concerned, the production is inspired by the genre’s classics and such titles as Beach Head 2000. In the game, we cannot move as we please since we constantly remain on the mobile machine gun and artillery position. The game continuously adjusts the difficulty level to the player’s skill, and lets us call additional support (such as an airstrike or air support) as well as supply drops depending on our results. The game is complemented by a simple character advancement system and pretty graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4.

In terms of gameplay mechanics, Shardlight a classic adventure game focusing on exploration, dialogues, collecting items, and solving puzzles that test not only your perception, but also intelligence.

The game begins 20 years after the fall of Earth, when a military force from the two remaining human colonies attempts to reclaim the planet and defeat the alien invaders. The action is seen from an isometric perspective and sees us traverse complicated levels and fight against numerous opponents using melee weapons and firearms, with each level ending with a demanding boss encounter. The heroes are also equipped with various attacks and special abilities that are unlocked with our progress during the game. The game is characteristic for its high-quality visuals and directed cut-scenes with professional voice acting.

The fourth full-fledged installment in the spectacular racing series Flatout started in 2004 by Finnish studio Bugbear Entertainment. After the cold reception of the third installment in the series, the task of creating the new entry was given to Kylotonn studio, the creators of the fifth installment of the popular rally series WRC. The game is strongly based on notes and suggestions of the community and promptly returns to the roots of the series. In the game the player traditionally participates in brutal races in which one can win not only by driving fast, but by eliminating the vehicles of the opponents as well. FlatOut 4: Total Insanity has the option to destroy the environmental objects, create astonishing crashes and sports a realistic destruction system – all the features that were the iconic traits of the series since it was created.

A turn-based RPG focusing strongly on strategic aspects and created by Pixelated Milk - a Polish developer. The player is taken to a peaceful fantasy world and assumes the role of Kay Loren - a young nobleman whose father reveals on his deathbed the existence of a distant land belonging to their family. Once the protagonist arrives in the place, it turns out that the entire land is ruined and the family was charged with a large debt. Kay decides to restore the ruined city to its magnificent state and take back the neighboring areas from the wildlife occupying them. The player's tasks are to construct buildings, gather resources, develop technologies and manage the land appropriately, so it can generate adequate amounts of money. Exploration, completing quests given by NPCs and turn-based combat are all of high importance here. The protagonist can be accompanied by four other characters with unique abilities, which can be developed alongside progression.

In Heart of Darkness, we play as a boy named Andy, whose dog Whisky is kidnapped by Forces of Darkness during an eclipse. Despite the dangers, the protagonist sets out to rescue his pet, equipped with self-made plasma weapon and vehicle. In terms of game mechanics, the title is a classic platform game, with the hero jumping, running, swimming and – naturally – fighting various enemies: from spiders, worms, and shadows, up to the Lord of Darkness himself. But Andy won’t be alone during his journey, as he can rely on the assistance of the strange flying creatures, which resisted the darkness. Another ally of our hero is magical energy, which allows him to use nearby trees in different ways.

Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor takes us to the world of Erathia, which slowly regains its balance. It quickly turns out that multiple different races cannot coexist peacefully, and the increasing tensions between humans and elves will soon become intolerable. The Necromancer guild tries to use the situation in Erathia to their wicked ends, and only the player-controlled party can thwart their plan. Apart from the main storyline, the game features 18 side quests, nearly 30 kinds of monsters, and over 500 non-player characters. The seventh installment of the saga, created on the basis of its predecessor, offers a similar visual quality level as well as comparable gameplay mechanics and character development system. The number of available classes was increased, though, and the plot became multi-threaded, thus forcing the player to make choices that have an impact on the further course of the story.
