Oldschool platformer with elements of a slasher game inspired by such classic titles as Shadow of the Beast or the early installments in the Castlevania series. Slain! is a debut production of independent studio Wolf Brew Games. You play as a sole hero named Bathoryn, who tries to liberate the game’s fantasy world from the tyranny of seven evil lords residing in seven high towers. Each level in Slain! is split into two different sections. Initially, your task is to fight your way to a tower using sword and magic. Next, you have to climb the tower, which means not only fighting, but also multiple platforming sequences and occasional logic puzzles. The game is characterized by a high level of difficulty and oldschool, pixel-art graphics drawing heavily from gothic themes. Gameplay is accompanied by a heavy metal soundtrack created by a former member of a popular band Celtic Frost.

A space-themed shooter game with roguelike elements and the first production by the team at Rockfish. The members of the studio used to work for Fishlabs, the creators of the mobile series Galaxy on Fire. Everspace is set in the far future, when humanity has colonized myriads of planetary systems. The plot, which is an important element of the gameplay, was written by Falko Löffler, the writer of Jack Keane or the Ankh series. Unlike other space shooters, whose mechanics are focused on complex simulations, Everspace features an easy, user-friendly controls model and dynamic battle system. You observe the world both from the cockpit perspective and through a camera lens placed above your ship. During the game, you explore the open-world galaxy, gather resources, fight enemies, and complete quests. You also have to take care of repairing your ship when its gets damaged in battle and upgrading it. It's very easy to die in Everspace and the world around you changes as you respawn.

Another installment in the popular farming simulator series, also known as Agrar Simulator. The general gameplay mechanics remain the same, while the game is still divided into simulation and economic parts. In the former, we personally engage in various farming activities, such as field reclamation, animal breeding, crop production, planting trees, and harvesting, using a wide variety of agricultural machines. The money we earn is invested into development of our farm, namely: expanding its infrastructure, hiring employees, and purchasing additional equipment. The realistically modeled calendar of farming work as well as occasionally occurring random problems and obstacles play important roles in the game. In addition, the visuals were enhanced, especially since Professional Farmer 2016 is the first installment of the series to be released on consoles.

A standalone expansion for the 2013’s well-received survival sandbox game, Don’t Starve. The main goal of the add-on is to transfer the core premise of the original title into cooperative multiplayer gameplay. In the game, we still explore the world, gather food, build a shelter, fight various enemies, and take care of the protagonist’s physical and mental health. The primary novelty is the possibility of interacting with other players who can turn out to be either precious friends or deadly foes. Don’t Starve Together allows us to play both with our friends and with complete strangers. Another appeal of the expansion is the fact that it comes with the previously released DLC, Reign of Giants, which expands the original title with new bioms, enemies, and a full year cycle. The production can be obtained free of charge by all owners of the vanilla game.

Trainz Simulator: A New Era is another game from the popular simulator series, Trainz that, as its title suggests, opens a new era in the history of the series. The game was developed by N3V Games, a studio created by the series' original developers from Auran. A New Era uses a brand new engine. Thanks to that, gameplay is more realistic and the visuals are of the highest quality. Both the train models and the environment have more details to them, and thanks to the improved physics, visuals, and dynamic weather the game is even closer to reality. Introduction of the new game engine brought many changes, but the gameplay mechanics remain intact. We still design our own railways and test them. Traditionally, there is a set of pre-made routes available and many highly detailed railway engine models.

The battles take place in real time, with light (or rather, the lack of it) being an essential tactical element. During the game, we gather supplies and conduct diplomacy, while the success of each journey depends on such factors as the ship’s equipment or the composition of the crew, which includes various people with unique backstories and personalities. It was attacked by three alien races. Players have to finish procedurally generated missions in order to save mankind. Before we start, we can choose up to four special abilities for our unit. As we progress, we get new weapons and upgrades. Missions take place in tours that last for a couple of weeks. The game's campaign (which can be finished in single player mode) is the same for the game's entire community, so the successes and failures of other players influence the story's outcome.

A refreshed version of a third-person perspective action-adventure game from 1999. The remake was prepared by Appeal – a reincarnation of the studio responsible for the original version. Outcast: Second Contact takes place in a science-fiction world, inspired by Stargate – a popular fictional universe, depicted in a number of movies and TV series. When USA sends a research probe into space, the device gets destroyed by the alien race of Talans, creating a black hole which is a direct threat to Earth. To save the world from destruction, humanity sends a group of scientists protected by a seasoned military veteran, Cutter Slade. When it comes to mechanics, the game is a mix of different genres, offering an open world and freedom of exploration, conversation, and performing tasks. Variety is definitely one of the strong points of the game: we face numerous logical puzzles, but dynamic arcade sequences are perhaps the main element of the gameplay. During those, Outcast becomes a classic third-person perspective shooter.

A sequel of the Polish fighting game developed by World Software in 1994. After more than two decades, the creators have decided to work on a continuation. You assume the role of Franko from the original title, who was washing dishes in Great Britain for years. Finally, he makes up his mind and goes back to his hometown in Poland. The hero’s turbulent past got him into new trouble, which assault him already on his way home. Having arrived, Franko has to face a new, dangerous enemy along with hordes of his thugs. Mechanically, gameplay is similar to beat’em up titles from arcade machines and comes down to going through locations and eliminating waves of enemies with bare fists and quite a wide arsenal of weapons which can be taken from the enemies. Stylistically, the sequel follows in the original’s footsteps. The title mocks Polish reality of life, current events, and famous people.

Another entry in the complex simulation game series, in which players take on the role of a train driver. Once again, the game was developed by Dovetail Games studio, who has also given us a tutorial that introduces us to basics of gameplay. There is also a career mode, in which we must complete dozens of varied missions. Quite obviously, we drive many different trains: from modern inventions to machines from the age of steam. The rich selection of tracks contains both real-life and fictional routes. Additionally, the editor returns in RailWorks 3: Train Simulator 2012, allowing for creation of custom routes – not only with various length and shape, but also through different types of terrain and with various surrounding objects. Finally, we can design trains and even whole scenarios, all of which can be shared with the game’s community.

Bus Cablecar Simulator: San Francisco is a simulator that allows you to steer a public tansport vehicle in the city of San Francisco. A virtual version of one of the largest American metropolises was created on the basis of a real topographic layout of the city. The game world is vibrant with its own life, and its inhabitants have been equipped with artificial intelligence, so that we never know exactly what will surprise us during the ride.
