Strategy 29 January 2015
A remastered edition of one of the most well-received installments of the legendary Heroes of Might & Magic series, created for the 15th anniversary of the game's original release and the 20th anniversary of the franchise. The contents of the HD edition are the same as the base game (no expansions included) and consist of 7 story campaigns (about 50 maps in total), a skirmish mode and a functional editor. Compared to the original, the key changes are the upgraded wide-screen-compatible HD visuals. The graphics are now sharper and more clear-cut, which is the result of reprogramming over 25,000 elements and models. The multiplayer mode has also been upgraded, both in the local “hotseat” mode and the online one. Also, for the first time ever, a version for mobile devices was created.
Clash Royale (AND)
Strategy 02 March 2016
A multiplayer game with MOBA elements from the Finnish Supercell studio, set in a universe of one of the mobile bestsellers – Clash of Clans. Same as there, we play as a ruler whose ambitions go beyond the borders of his country. Gameplay of Clash of Royale comes down to taking part in online skirmishes with other players to overthrow the opposing king. Battles are fought in very simplified form and take place on small arenas, which fit entirely on the smartphone’s or tablet’s screen. During the battles, we send offensive units along set paths, while also making sure to secure our own domain with various spells and defensive units and buildings. The mechanics are complemented by card game features, and the time between fights is spent on collecting the strongest possible deck of cards, each representing the respective units and actions (e.g. casting spells).

SimCity BuildIt (AND)
Strategy 16 December 2014
A mobile free-to-play strategy game. It is a spin-off of the cult series of economic simulators developed by EA Maxis. Similarly to the full-fledged entries in the series, the player assumes the role of a mayor of a virtual city. His task is to secure the expansion of the metropolis and happiness of its inhabitants while also maintaining the budget. During the game the player is raising new buildings, creating energy lines and gathering taxes. The gameplay mechanics are slightly different as building each house requires delivering enough materials produced by factories and commercial buildings. Each decision must be taken with the budget and happiness in mind and each wrong action can cause bad consequences to the whole agglomeration. In addition to that, the game is a subject to typical limitations of the free-to-play model – each construction and production process requires the player to wait a specific amount of time.

Both goals require extended effort, including resource gathering, constructing buildings, or recruiting military forces and leading them in battle. Interestingly enough, the game’s economy is based on milk, which can be gathered from grazing cows. Polanie Remake attempts to reintroduce the classic traits and the atmosphere of its predecessor, all the while offering detailed and high-definition visuals and a remade soundtrack.
