Similarly to the full-fledged entries in the series, the player assumes the role of a mayor of a virtual city. Their task is to secure the expansion of the metropolis and the happiness of its inhabitants while also maintaining the budget. During the game the player is raising new buildings, creating power lines and collecting taxes.
