Humanity, united under the banner of United Earth Empire, has begun the colonization of the universe, encountering many alien races in its course. It is a unique opportunity for adventurous pilots to gain fame and wealth, as well as the treasured status of an intergalactic empire citizen. The gameplay combines elements of spaceship simulator, shooter, cRPG, as well as economic strategy. The game offers two modes. Squadron 42 is an offline campaign, in which the player-controlled character joins an elite squadron of star fighters. For MMO aficionados, the developers have created the Galaxy Mode, allowing them to play with thousands of others. Spectacular visuals of Star Citizen are generated by the CryEngine 3 engine.

Unlike many popular online shooters, this game stands out thanks to interesting story and full freedom of exploration combined with a whole bunch of various additional activities, which you can complete on your own or in cooperation with friends. Escape from Tarkov boasts a high level of realism in terms of both gameplay and graphics (thanks to the 3D scanning technology), extraordinary character progression system, and puts much emphasis on survival elements – your character needs to eat, drink, treat injuries, and avoid radiation in order to survive in this dangerous environment.

A first-person MMO shooter set in the post-apocalyptic setting of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which was based on the motifs from Roadside Picnic, a novel by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. sZone is the debut production from the Russian studio Cybertime Systems. The players assume the role of stalkers – daredevils brave enough to venture deep inside the restricted area surrounding the destroyed nuclear plant in Chernobyl in search of valuable artifacts. The authors prepared a number of various quests during which you will face mutants controlled by AI (PvE) or other players (PvP). The dark, gloomy visuals are powered by the BigWorld Engine, created by the authors of the game.

Citadel: Forged with Fire is a multiplayer fantasy RPG developed and published by Blue Isle. The production is meant solely for online play and is sandbox in nature, letting the players choose their own career path. The users assume the role of arcane arts adepts and use their spell knowledge to explore a fantastical realm that is full of dangers and secrets, perform quests, build strongholds and siege engines, and compete with other people. Players can erect their own houses, which are equivalents of guilds, and establish their rules. Then, we can fight against similar groups for influence, territory, and treasures alongside our comrades. The gameplay mechanics are ruled by the physics engine, so the numerous available spells realistically impact the objects in the environment. The game is more fun thanks to the possibility of flying.

A free-to-play online action-RPG designed for the Asian market by the South Korean studio Tripod. The game is set in a fantasy realm, whose people managed to avoid an invasion of evil thanks to the titular Ark. After years of peace, the leader of demonic legions, Kazeroth, tries to use the artifact to take over the world. The players have to find it and prevent the imminent disaster. The game employs isometric camera in gameplay, resembling such classic hits as Diablo or Torchlight. There are 18 character classes, each representing an original take on classic RPG archetypes. In the game you get to explore (both lands and seas), collect resources and treasures, and fight against mighty bosses, as well as other players in the PvP mode. Lost Ark features high quality graphics powered by Unreal Engine 3.

An MMORPG set in the Medieval Ages, developed by independent Polish studio Black Eye Games. Gloria Victis was designed as an alternative to many similar Asian MMO games, which usually fail to represent the actual feel of the Medieval period and its socio-economic realities. The game is set on the continent devastated by a long war and crusades, where the leaders of the most powerful nations still fight for dominance. Your character is thrown in the middle of that conflict. Although the hero will belong to one of four archetypes, the character progression offers a large degree of freedom (no classes or professions). As you play, you get to explore the vast world, tale part in various missions, and fight opponents with a wide arsenal of weapons characteristic for the period. Much emphasis was put on the complex economy, crafting system with 10 specializations, and social features, e.g. creating player guilds.

A pirate tactical action game developed by a Shanghai-based studio working under Ubisoft. Skull & Bones takes place during the golden age of piracy on the waters of the Indian Ocean. The player assumes the role of a corsair who commands his ship while gradually building up his reputation and amassing more loot. At the beginning, the player has only a single ship, but as he progresses through the game he obtains an entire fleet of various ships that differ among each other in agility, firing range, and durability. Each ship can be customized with additional parts that change its looks and combat effectiveness. The game takes place in an open world in which the player competes with artificial intelligence and with other players. During the battles it is important to take advantage of water currents, prepare proper tactics, and to cooperate with allies. It is also important to select adequate ship for the type of task the player intends to complete.

A fantasy real-time strategy with cRPG elements. Kingdom Under Fire II is set in a fantasy realm called Bersia, where three conflicted factions – Human Alliance (elves and humans), Dark Legion (orcs and ogres) and Encablossa (mutants and monsters) – wage a bloody war against one another. The player takes command of one of the conflicted sides and tries to turn the tide in their favor. While the Blueside’s production lets you play solo in a story-driven campaign, the game’s main asset is its expansive, MMO-inspired multiplayer mode, including such elements as e.g. social features.

Action 2020

Ambitious pirate MMO, which was created by developers of ARK: Survival Evolved. Players play on a huge map of the world, designed for a maximum of 40 thousand people. The adventure begins with building the first ship and selecting the crew to gain control over the territory. Fighting for influence with other groups of players is the main premise of the game.

An MMORPG title set in a fantasy world developed by Interpid Studios, which was established by veteran developers. Ashes of Creation takes us to a fantasy land which experienced a cataclysm a long time ago. Now there are only remains of the civilization, and when the members of sentient species regained rule over the land, they also woke up an old threat. We create our own hero choosing one of eight races with different specializations. Gameplay isn’t much different from what we can see in other games from the genre, though we can get our own land to build a house and take one of the many available jobs. One noteworthy feature is a vast and varied world, which is shaped by players’ actions alongside plot.

New World is a MMORPG developed by Amazon Game Studios. The game takes us to a vast, open world inspired by the aesthetics and atmosphere of the 17th-century South American colonies and the beliefs of people who lived there. We can focus on playing alone or join forces with other players. It is up to us to retake areas overrun by monsters in order to establish new villages. We can craft new tools and weapons, farm, or even try to survive in the wilderness where we will have to face not only monsters but also bandits. New World focuses on the community, which can be seen in the game's integration with Twitch. The game is based on technology created specifically for its needs, which allowed for the creation of a highly detailed environment with advanced character models and particle effects.

A special version of Black Desert Online, developed for mobile devices. The developers intended to recreate as many features of the well received original version as possible. During the game the players are exploring vast world, fighting encountered enemies and completing quests received from non-playable characters. It is also possible to participate in battles between guilds.

Extended simulator of survival in the open world (sandbox), maintained in western convention and characterized by a high level of realism. Up to 150 people can take part in the game at the same time. Virtual Basement (co-creators of ARK: Survival Evolved) is responsible for the creation of this production. Its publisher is Wandering Wizard.

Minecraft Earth is the mobile spin-off of the popular Minecraft, containing the key mechanics of the original gameplay, but bringing action to the real world through augmented reality technology. The title allows for joint building and adventure for people from all over the world, offering rich opportunities for cooperative play.

An online survival action game developed by Gamepires and Croteam, the creators of Serious Sam. The action of SCUM takes place in an alternative reality, where humanity, desiring intense experiences, watches a brutal TV show in which prisoners fight among themselves for life and the favor of the sponsors and fans. The competition, being one season of the program, takes place on Bagne de Cayenne, a grand island. The only task of the player is to survive. Knowledge and skills prove particularly helpful in that. While playing, you have to make sure you have enough food, perfect your weapon skills, martial arts, and hacking skills. Additional highlight of the unusual tournament includes numerous sponsors and producers of the program. If we manage to ingratiate ourselves with them, we can count on unique and incredibly valuable gifts that will make staying alive much easier.

Camelot Unchained is a sandbox MMORPG that takes place in a mythical version of medieval Europe. The gameplay is focused on PvP mode, in which three factions are fighting endless wars for control over lands and resources.

Survarium is set in a post-apocalyptic universe of a near future, where human civilization lost a war against the forces of nature. Players take command of one of the remaining humans, who now gather in small groups in order to survive in this hostile environment. The players meet up in instances, and the missions they have to undertake often require cooperation in small teams. The developers saw to it that the world was filled with traps, anomalies, and dangerous mutants. The game is based on the free-to-play financial model with optional microtransactions for extra items and bonuses.

An online RPG with numerous strategic elements, created by ArtCraft, a studio comprising some seasoned developers. In Crowfall: Throne War the player creates his own character, who then sets off on numerous campaigns taking place across many peculiar realms. After some time, each of these worlds is irreversibly annihilated forcing our protagonist to search for the necessary resources and glory in other universes. The hero the players get to control can represent different races, classes, and factions, each one featuring a unique set of skills, which gives the players much freedom during the character creation process. The battle for domination over particular worlds can take from one up to three months, during which the players compete for resources and rare pieces of equipment. Everything the players salvage can be later used in special zones under their rule. After a world is destroyed, our protagonist has to set off on another campaign, which might be governed by completely different rules.

Continuation of the popular series of MMORPGs created and expanded by the NCsoft Company. The developers decided that Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance will be a return to the roots of the series. The game once again takes place in a fantasy universe known very well by the fans. The story tells a tale of a conflict with the forces of evil. The fallen heroes begin to rise from their knees two hundred years after the armies of good were defeated. A new war begins and its outcome will be decided by the players. Similarly as in the previous installments of the series, the main part of the gameplay is based on creating an avatar and developing him. Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance stands out due to its advanced combat mechanics that allow the players to participate in spectacular battles and sieges.

Starborne is a PC-based MMO strategy, in which we develop a cosmic empire. Matches last many months and involve thousands of players divided into several competitive factions. While playing, we must manage our nation efficiently, colonising the worlds, improving technology and conquering with the army, but it is also necessary to select actions so that we can serve not only ourselves, but also the whole party.
