Elden Ring and More; Steam's Bestsellers of February 2022

February was a very busy month on Steam. Apart from the big releases like Elden Ring or Lost Ark, smaller productions like Model Builder or Home Behind 2 also did well.

Valve has released the list of the biggest releases of February 2022 on Steam. The criterion was the revenue generated within two weeks of the launch. The month was full of big debuts - blockbusters such as Elden Ring, Total War: Warhammer III, Lost Ark or Dying Light 2.

Everyone expected these titles to succeed, so in fact the most interesting part are the lesser-known games whose appearance on the list is a surprise. In February several games from small, independent teams made their debut, including Model Builder, the military RPG Home Behind 2, the simulator Tiny Combat Arena or the strategy game Diplomacy is Not an Option.

It is worth noting the appearance of two erotic games in the list: Treasure of Nadia and Orc Massage.

Traditionally, no specific sales results or even the correct order of the titles were revealed. That's why we added to the list the estimates from the paid version of SteamSpy. Unfortunately, they tend to be very inaccurate, which is particularly visible this month. Elden Ring sold superbly, but its true result did not even come close to 30 million copies.

Interestingly, the aforementioned Treasure of Nadia and Orc Massage do not have estimates on SteamSpy. This is standard for erotic games and is most likely due to the privacy settings and high age rating of such titles. Both games must have done very well, though, as they each have nearly 2,000 reviews, which is more than about half of the other games in the top 20.

  1. Elden Ring Review: A Soulful Experience
  2. Lost Ark Review: Setting the Standard for a Modern MMORPG
  3. Total War: Warhammer 3 Review - Quality of War
  4. Dying Light 2 Review: A Glow in the Dark
