Welcome to the series that discusses the most important upcoming releases on Steam. This will be another week densely filled with new titles. Fans of RPGs, shooters, and strategy games should be particularly pleased.

Release of the week is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (July 24, 2025)

One of the most important launches of the week is expected to be Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. This is a high-budget action RPG game, similar to soulslike, set in a fantasy version of the Chinese Shu region during the late Ming dynasty.

Out of the upcoming releases, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is the most anticipated game on Steam, with almost three times more followers than the second-place Killing Floor 3. That's why we picked it as the game of the week.

Abiotic Factor

Today, Abiotic Factor, a co-op survival action game inspired by the first Half-Life, is leaving early access. Players assume the roles of employees at a secret research facility similar to Black Mesa, who must survive after alien monsters take over the building.

The Early Access release has been a hit with players on Steam, with a 96% positive rating from over 32,500 reviews.

Brutal John 2 (Early Access)

Brutal John 2 is a humorous first-person shooter, referring to Duke Nukem 3D and the Serious Sam series. The game will take us to the year 2090, and our mission will be to eliminate a mutant who, in pursuit of cryptocurrencies, has brought Earth to the brink of economic collapse.

Ctrl Alt Deal looks promising. Luto is a first-person horror game inspired by the legendary P.T. (a demo of the canceled Silent Hills), where you'll be trapped in a house haunted by a supernatural entity.

Hell Clock is a promising action RPG that takes place in late 19th-century Brazil. We will play as a warrior who descends into purgatory to help the souls of those who perished during the brutal conflict between the army and the inhabitants of the Canudos village, which resulted in the loss of 25,000 lives.

Resonant Blade is a cool action game with a cute pixel art style. We'll explore the ruins of civilization and fight robots using a unique sword that can transform sounds into powerful sonic attacks.

Animal Shelter 2

Most weeks on Steam cannot go by without some kind of civilian simulator. This time, it's going to be Animal Shelter 2 by Games Incubator, where we'll be running an animal shelter.

The first installment, released three years ago, was very well received - it has 87% positive reviews on Steam (out of over 3,500 reviews).

Fans of heavy vibes might be interested in s.p.l.i.t. This is a horror game where we become a hacker breaking into the systems of a dangerous group with no moral boundaries. The gameplay will focus on entering text commands and communicating with other members of our crew.

Death Relives is something we really like - a horror game reaching for rarely seen atmospheres in this category. In this survival horror, the Aztec deity Xipe Totec will hunt us down. This creature is supposed to resemble Mr X from Resident Evil 2 in terms of gameplay. So, killing him will be impossible, but attacks and traps will only give us a short break, allowing us to catch our breath, explore, and solve puzzles.
