At one stage, the developers decided to edit the comment that appears next to planets from "Corrupted sentinels" to "Dissonance detected." What does this message mean? You will find out in our guide.
Some time ago No Man's Sky received the Interceptor Update. It implemented a number of innovations related to Sentinels. At that time we had the first contact with the corrupted version of these machines. An appropriate message indicated whether there was this particular type of threat on a given planet.
However, one of the updates introduced some changes in naming. As a result, instead of "Corrupted sentinels" displaying next to the planets, you will find the note reading "Dissonance detected". However, this is a purely cosmetic modification and does not affect the content of the game. This means that on these celestial bodies you will encounter enemies in their corrupt form as previously. Be ready to fight.
