The Mandalorian's Ahsoka Tano Actress Thanks Her Counterpart From The Clone Wars

In honor of Ahsoka Tano Day, the actor who played her in the show, Rosario Dawson, tweeted a short behind-the-scenes video and thanked her predecessor from the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Rosario Dawson, the actress playing Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian, revealed what her makeup process was like on the set;
  2. The actress also recalled Ashley Eckstein's memorable voice role, thanking her for being able to create Ahsoka's cinematic image together.

The second season of The Mandalorian brought with it many unexpected appearances by well-known characters from the Star Wars universe. One of those pleasant surprises was definitely the appearance of Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker's padawan known mostly from the comics and the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Rosario Dawson played the character in The Mandalorian and she has already expressed her great joy connected with the possibility of playing the role of the Togruta Jedi. On January 30 she did it again, because we were celebrating the day of... Ahsoka Tano. The artist posted a video on Twitter in which she showed how her make-up process looked on the set of the series.

Perhaps most importantly is the description of the post, in which Dawson thanks the voice actress responsible for Ahsoka's voice in The Clone Wars, Ashley Eckstein, for being able to continue the character's legacy and share it with the world. It's a very nice and supportive gesture, considering that for Eckstein, Tano is a very important character, as she has mentioned on numerous interviews.
