How to get Ancient Key?

There are two ways to get Ancient Key in No Man's Sky. We have described them in order to make it easier for you to obtain the key and thus tons of raw materials.

1. Ancient Key can be bought for 1000 units,
2. You can also use the Area and Scanner Manipulator to find Artifact Fragments. These are boxes hidden in ruins. You need to open and loot them to find the key.

What is Ancient Key for?

Ancient Key allows you to open any artifact lootboxes that are in its surroundings. This item occurs in different amounts in the game. To open the Ancient Locks you will need as many as 3 keys. However, you'll get a handful of rare items, materials and resources inside, so it's worth finding them.
