A fantasy jRPG featuring a turn-based combat system, based on the popular Battle Chasers comic book series. The game was developed by Airship Syndicate, founded by the creators of the Darksiders game, including the creative director and the comic's author, Joe Maureira. The game is set in a fantasy universe, where magic and science coexist, and you play as the characters known from the comics, such as the warrior Garrison, a little girl called Gully, or the golem Calibretto. Battle Chasers: Nightwar focuses on the plot and the exploration of the expansive randomly-generated dungeons. The game also features many jRPG-style battles, taking place in turns on two separate screens. The visuals are colorful and detailed, which makes them resemble the original comics.

An arcade combat flight game and a special edition of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy for Nintendo 3DS. The game is one of the first productions utilizing the extra functions of the New 3DS, such as extra buttons and second analog stick. You play as a Special Tactical Fighter Squadron Scarface pilot and participate in Operation Fighter's Honor, during which you have to stop the countries of the southern Usea from joining the Osean Federation. The production allows you to pilot many planes, such as Boeing F-15SE Silent Eagle or Sukhoi PAK FA, and to complete an expansive single-player campaign or bonus missions in the challenge mode. The arcade-like flight model and frequent fights make the game resemble shooter productions more than most PC flight simulators. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus features 3D visuals, which are very high-quality for a 3DS game, both during the actual gameplay and spectacular replays.

A puzzle adventure game released on mobile devices, based on the license of a popular animated series aired on Fox. The game's story focuses on the rivalry between the Planet Express courier company with its longtime competitor, MomCorp, leading to Fry and his companions being forced to embark on a journey through different regions of the universe. Futurama: Game of Drones employs slightly modified mechanics of the popular casual match-3 (or, in this case, match-4) genre, and the player's task is to combine four drones working for the Planet Express in order to put the competing courier company in line. Although we are dealing here with a typical logic game, the developers of the title took care to include a well-developed narrative layer, created in cooperation with, among others, the screenwriter and producer of the original series, Patric Verrone, and Dave Grossman, the co-creator of the Monkey Island series and the iconic adventure game Day of the Tentacle.

An old-school open-world action game and a sequel to Retro City Rampage developed by Vblank Entertainment. The action of Shakedown Hawaii takes place 30 years after the events presented in its predecessor. The protagonist has grown really old and got himself a large belly. Dramatic events forced him to take up arms once again and to rebuild his crime empire. The gameplay mechanics improve on the ideas from Retro City Rampage and bear a strong resemblance to the first installment of the cult-classic Grand Theft Auto. The action is observed from an aerial view when traversing the open city area on foot or by vehicles. While playing, we perform various primary and secondary quests, using a rich arsenal or firearms, and the gameplay is enriched with elements of economic simulation that lets us manage the protagonist’s business. The game is realized in retro style and features a large dose of absurd and undiscriminating humor.

Pacific Fleet is a strategy game and a simple simulator developed by indie studio Killerfish Games. The game takes place on the Pacific Ocean, where US Navy faces Imperial Japanese Navy in a series of grand battles. There are seventeen types of ships and eight types of planes at our disposal. Combat is turn-based and has two phases: movement and attack. The key to success lies in choosing a proper tactic. While planning our strike, we have to take under consideration the randomness of the unit placement, the weather conditions, and the day-night cycle. Pacific Fleet features both single player campaign and "hot seats" multiplayer. The game stands out among other mobile games due to its high quality visuals.

The second installment in the new sports series launched by EA Sports in 2014 as a spiritual successor to the UFC Undisputed franchise. Like the title suggests, the gameplay is focused on MMA matches and concentrates on recreating this spectacular sport as faithfully and realistically as possible. The most noteworthy among the novelties introduced in EA Sports UFC 2 are the numerous enhancements in the combat model (especially the ground game) and the new Knockout Physics system, responsible for executing powerful and spectacular finishing strikes. The game offers the widest selection of actual male and female MMA fighters thus far, as well as a wide range of single and multiplayer modes, especially the career mode that lets us lead our character from the bottom up to the top of leaderboards. The game also features the Ultimate Team collectible card mode known from other productions of EA Sports.

A refreshed version of the classic action adventure game that was released in 2005. The new version was prepared by the creators of the original title, Icepick Lodge, as a side project to a complete remake of the game. The plot of Pathologic Classic HD is same as in the original game and it focuses on a mysterious virus that spreads across a small city, causing many casualties. When the authorities decide to seek out help from outside, three different characters arrive in the city and try to solve the mystery during the next twelve days. The game is story-driven and focuses on adventure aspects. What makes it different from other games is the fact that two non-playable characters are acting parallel to achieve the same objective as the player. All three characters are frequently getting in each other’s way. In contrast to the original game, the new version features refreshed, high-resolution graphics. The developers have also fixed many of the bugs of the original game and recorded a new version of dubbed dialogue sequences.

A science-fiction side-scrolling platform game developed by studio Double Fine Productions led by Tim Schafer. HeadLander combines the features of the classic video game series Metroid with a few completely new features. During the game, the player assumes the role of a character who wakes up in a trashy world of the future, inhabited only by robots. The protagonist discovers that he consists only of… a head placed in a special helmet equipped with a rocket propulsion system. During his adventure he will try to regain his lost memory and learn what befell humanity. While exploring the world, one will encounter many enemies to defeat and riddles to solve. What makes the game unusual is the movement of the protagonist – his head can be placed on any robot. When it happens, the protagonist gains the abilities of that particular robot and its security clearance that allows him to reach many unavailable places.

In the original game the players controlled scantily clad female warriors who represented two military schools. This time Aya Hinomoto, the heroine of the original game, must lead her colleagues from the Ranger Club in a war between schools, against the Elda Private Institute. Gameplay mechanics of Bullet Girls 2 are almost same as in the predecessor. During the game player is completing various tasks that are usually related to elimination of all enemies. In battles the player mainly uses various firearms - including machine guns, shotguns and powerful rocket launchers. Many improvements and few new characters were added to the game. The cloth damaging system known from the original remained the same. During the game clothes of the girls are damaged and player can see their bodies only in underwear.

The title is one of the two alternative versions of the survival sandbox game formerly known as H1Z1 that was divided into two independent productions during the early access stage. Unlike H1Z1: Just Survive, that remained faithful to the developers' original concept, H1Z1: King of the Kill focuses on dynamic action and players competing in one of several PvP modes, spearheaded by the Battle Royale mode, well-known from the original game. The game features also some elements of survival: before the struggle begins the players get a little time to gather resources and create equipment that they will use to fight their opponents. However, in contrast to the original game these elements were marginalized.

Apart from the wide range of regular units known from the previous parts, the title introduces hero units that can be found on both sides of the conflict. Gameplay focuses on fights in which the players use personally-built decks of cards representing characters and their special skills. Combat takes place on levels divided into several vertical lanes, in a manner resembling a tower defense game. During the game, players activate cards in turns, summoning units, putting them on lanes, or making them use their superpowers. Plants vs. Zombies Heroes concentrates on multiplayer, although the game offers a single player campaign as well.

However, weird and terrifying things start happening in the building and getting out quickly proves to be difficult. The main task of the player during the game is to explore locations and solve mysteries and riddles. The main objective of the game is to survive, but since the main character is just a common schoolboy, he should rather avoid dangers than to face them. In case of being detected, the player should escape. White Day: A Labyrinth Named School has non-linear plot and during the game player must make various choices that will lead to one of seven possible endings.

In contrast to most other match-3 games, the levels aren’t randomly generated – instead, each of them is a carefully-planned logical challenge with candies placed in specific places and featuring unique map shapes. The gameplay is more varied thanks to the boss fights, during which the player must complete additional objectives. The game provides also means for competition between friends through internet rankings.

Freedom Planet 2 offers much more detailed visuals, as well as a number of changes and upgrades, including an energy shield used to counter enemy attacks, or the ability to resurrect the hero after dying. Aside from the above, the game offers an unusual difficulty scaling system – the amount of lives and the heroines’ attack power can be customized by using special crystals found in the course of each level.

We are armed with special pistol that shoots pheromones, which will drive attacking girls to euphoria and thus stopping them from confessing their love to Hodai.

Along the way, you gather experience, which allows you to develop your strength and abilities, using a complex skill tree, allowing you to fit your character to your preferred playstyle.

The action of Prominence Poker takes place in a fictional city of Prominence, with the players assuming the role of tourists whose task is to convince the local gamblers to respect the newcomer's poker skills. The goal is to join one of four local criminal groups and dethrone it’s leader. The players in Prominence Poker are given a wide range of visual customization options, including the ability to choose an outfit or tattoos. Individual gangs differentiate themselves from other group not only through the appearance of the players, but also through their favorite spots to play. The gameplay is based on Texas Hold’em rules, with No Limit variant, so the stakes and the number of raises during the round are not limited. Various challenges of various difficulty await the players, along with rewards received for winning. The character led by the player acquires experience and advances to next levels. Prominence Poker is a free-to-play game, and aside from the multiplayer mode, there is also a variant for single players, with opponents controlled by AI.

When the fictional city of Bonton becomes the victim of a series of terrorist attacks, the player assumes the role of an operator of the system and is tasked with identifying the terrorists. The gameplay mechanics are focused mostly on watching recordings and files related to the citizens and reporting any suspicious activity to specialized units. In the game the player will frequently bend constitutional laws and dig through private data, hack computers and even impersonate other people. However, one must be very careful because all actions can lead to various consequences.

Tricky Towers is another version of the classic Tetris formula. The players are tasked with placing colorful bricks that fall from the sky. After combining the bricks, they don’t disappear but create a tower. The player must create as high construction as possible. An advanced physics engine makes the task harder – the tower can collapse if the pieces are combined incorrectly. In addition to that, the players assumes the role of sorcerers, who can use various spells during the game to help themselves or make the task harder for their opponents. The game focuses mostly on multiplayer mode for up to four players in which the winner is the person whose building survives the longest time.

The protagonist of Human: Fall Flat is an ordinary man named Bob. He is trying to solve the mystery of dreams of falling that haunt him. In the game, we are taken to a slightly surreal world from Bob’s dreams, where he has to face his own fears, traversing several lands full of various obstacles. The gameplay mechanics are based mainly on exploration and solving puzzles by manipulating objects in the environment. Everything is governed by the realistic physics engine that manages the behavior of all items and the unusual controls that are characterized by significant inertia of the protagonist. Human: Fall Flat is designed not to impose any specific way of doing things but to reward creativity and the ability to think outside the box.

A remastered edition of a 2012's two-dimensional platformer by studio Tequila Works, designed for PC and eighth generation of video game consoles. The plot of the title is set in an alternative version of the 80s, in which, as a result of a mysterious virus, world was overrun by zombies. During the game we play the part of a survivor named Randall Wayne, who is trying to reach a safe place and meet up with his friends and family. When it comes to mechanics, the game is a 2.5D platformer, emphasizing exploration and different ways of dealing with zombies. There are also purely arcade sequences, as well as environmental puzzles that we have to solve in order to get to previously inaccessible places. In comparison to the original game published four years earlier, Deadlight: Director's Cut features improved 1080p visuals, a set of new animations and a new game mode – Survival Arena.

The main component of the expansion is a completely new map, encompassing a Pacific archipelago Tanoa, with an area of 100 square kilometers. Along with the map, we receive a new cooperative campaign, which revolves around the theme of armed conflicts in the near future. The set of additions is complemented by previously unavailable weapons and vehicles, including a bit more futuristic equipment, in the form of light combat vehicles and VTOL’s - vertical takeoff planes, The integral part of the Arma III Apex add-on is a massive game update, noticeably improving the graphical layer of the base game, also incorporating a number of improvements in the mechanics and the game’s interface. At the same time, the add-on lays the foundations for its further development - both in terms of official content, as well as the one created by the players.

In another, we shoot piles of boxes with a huge sling, while yet another one lets us drive a futuristic vehicle and shoot objects that appear around us. Apart from this kind of fun, The Lab consists of educational programs such as Human Medical Scan, in which we stroll between human body parts, or Solar System that allows us to watch and play with the planets. The Lab presents different setting, depending on the game we play, it could be a cartoonish castle, a meadow, or a futuristic room.

A first-person perspective adventure game exploiting the psychological thriller genre. The plot in The Works of Mercy draws inspiration from such films as The Tenant by Roman Polanski and Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. The title was developed by Polish studio Pentacle, whose team members have worked on titles such as The Witcher or Call of Juarez. The player is in control of a man whose family got kidnapped by a psychopath. To save their lives, the hero has to murder several people of maniac's choosing. Whether he likes it or not, the protagonist must obey the psychopath, who constantly watches the protagonist through candid cameras. At the same time, the hero tries to find out who the oppressor is and what is his goal. Gameplay in The Works of Mercy resembles productions like Gone Home and P.T. (the playable teaser of the cancelled Silent Hills). The core of the game consists of exploration, solving puzzles, talking with the psychopath, and fulfilling his wishes. The gloomy atmosphere is accompanied by surreal visions experienced by the hero. The Works of Mercy offers graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4 and supports VR headsets.

A standalone expansion for the 2015 turn-based strategy game Might & Magic: Heroes VII by Limbic Entertainment. The story takes place five years after the events of the core game, which resulted in Ivan Griffin becoming the first emperor of the Holy Griffin Empire. However, the peace doesn't last long and soon the Empire clashes with the neighboring Dwarven kingdom of Grimheim. Might & Magic: Heroes VII – Trial by Fire is focused on attempts of averting an armed conflict which could prove disastrous for both sides. The mechanics of the expansion remain virtually the same as the core game's, but its contents have been expanded. Co-developed by Steve Howse and Thorntree Studios, an arcade game resembling the popular mobile and browser hit Agar.io. During the game you are in control of a small snake which grows by eating bright points. Apart from yours, there are other snakes on the map and in order to win, you have to eat what remains of the bigger ones. The only problem is that they die only if they touch other creatures with their heads, so your objective is to maneuver your snake in a way that will make others run into you. This can be achieved with a number of techniques. There is no final purpose to the game, so you can play till the Earth stops turning. Similarly to the aforementioned production by M28 studio, Slither.io features minimalistic visuals. Even though they are simple, they still can give an ample scope for showing your brains and skill.

A Japanese action role-playing game by Aquria, based on the popular Sword Art Online franchise, which started with a novel series by Reki Kawahara. The game is set in the near future in Japan, where virtual reality MMORPGs are wildly popular. The story of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization takes place inside one of such games, called Sword Art: Origin, which gained popularity after a group of players was trapped in it. You play as Kirito, the protagonist of the franchise, who finds himself inside a new version of the program, this time devoid of the code fragments that would present a threat to the users. The gameplay consists mostly of exploring, completing quests, leveling up your character and arcade-like combat. During the game you encounter many characters from the books and the anime series based on them, as well as some brand new characters.

A new installment of an unusual RPG from Defiant Development, enriched with board and card game elements. Similarly to its predecessor, the player is tasked with taking on the challenges created using cards rolled by a magical enemy, called The Dealer. Thanks to the efforts of the previous protagonist, he was defeated, but the hero was0 corrupted by his own power, and became a bloodthirsty tyrant. The Dealer returns to train a new hero, capable of facing his predecessor. The overall idea for the gameplay had remains unchanged, but a number of new elements have been introduced. Hand of Fate 2 introduces an additional plane to the game map, instigating more situations with potential encounters – that part of the game received additional requirements such as time-oriented objectives. Aside from that, our hero doesn’t have to be alone anymore – we received an ability to recruit comrades, and create a party.

RIDE 2 is a continuation to a motorcycle racing simulator developed by Milestone and released in 2015. The player takes part in subsequent, exciting competitions coming in several single and multiplayer modes. World Tour is the main mode here and the player competes against the AI in subsequent events (there are various kinds of them) organized all over the world. The game offers over 30 tracks falling into seven categories, as well as more than 200 bikes. As for the motorcycles included, they were carefully recreated thanks to all the required licenses the creators had obtained. Similar to the previous game, high level of realism was important for the creators when preparing the second installment as well. Thus even the smallest mistakes can result in a crash and the bikes are quite difficult to control. However, numerous optional assists can be enabled, making the gameplay easier. What's more, RIDE 2 offers an extensive bike customization system allowing the player to replace over 1200 parts in their machine.

In difference to the console entries in the series, Uncharted: Fortune Hunter lacks any specific story and concentrates on a series of logical challenges in which the famous adventurer Nathan Drake tries to obtain the treasures of the greatest pirates, travelers and thieves in history. On each of more than 200 levels, taking place in four different locations, the player is tasked with getting from the starting point to the indicated destination. Each new map is a big riddle with many moving parts built of square fields. Some of them are regular platforms through which one can freely walk, other can contain traps, items or mechanisms to activate. During the game the player must move and manipulate the surroundings in such way so that the protagonist will safely reach the destination.

A jRPG title developed for Wii U console by studio Atlus and the Nintendo company. We play as a teenage boy named Itsuki Aoi, who accidentally becomes part of the talent agency Fortuna Entertainment. Our hero learns about the existence of mysterious creatures from different dimensions called Mirages, which attack our world unnoticed and absorb human energy known as Performa. Allying himself with a few friendly Mirages, the boy steps up to fight against the enemy. We explore two districts of Tokyo, meet NPCs and complete side quests. We also travel to another world, which is simply a huge dungeon. Fights take form of turn-based battles on separate arenas. We lead our team, with each member having unique magic abilities. Visuals of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE are quite colorful.

The first large expansion for the 2007 turn-based strategy game Elven Legacy by Russian studio Ico-Co. Ranger again takes place in the fantasy world of Illis, which has changed since the events of the core game. The Order of Marcus, hiding since many years, decided to remind everyone of its existence, and the famous ranger Cornelius is sent out to prepare the world for its return. The expansion features 16 new missions, 2 powerful heroes, 5 unique artifacts, and 12 new spells. Even though there is only one ending, the missions can be completed in a non-linear order. An important item is Cornelius' magical spear, which has a range of useful attributes.
