Additionally, the game features various gameplay upgrades. One of the changes is the rebuilt Champion system. Now the Champions are coming to the player – who assumes the role of the ruler of one of the kingdoms – when a certain fame level is reached. In addition to that, instead of having random skills, Champions have a separate skill tree. Thanks to that, the players can control their development. The changes also include the battle system – strength in numbers became more important. Elemental: Fallen Enchantress – Legendary Heroes also features new types of monsters and many additional spells. Graphics and animations were improved as well.

The developers prepared an extensive campaign that lets us take part in the most famous riots of the recent years either as the protesting crowd or the police that try to restore order. The game also features a hot-seat multiplayer mode. What’s important, Riot doesn’t make fun of its subject but tries to present its essence. To faithfully recreate the reasons and the course of various riots, the developers interviewed people that participated in them on both sides. Virtual protests are shown in attractive pixel-art graphics that brings the visuals of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP to mind.

A sequel to a popular action-RPG with tower defense elements, originally released in 2011 as a debut game of indie developer Trendy Entertainment. In contrast to the first game, this one is based on the free-to-play business model, and offers two entirely different multiplayer modes. The first one is a traditional co-op, in which players of different skills and specializations join forces against waves of enemies of increasing difficulty. The other one is heavily inspired by MOBA games and focuses on competitive combat of two 5-person teams. Each team is tasked with destroying opponent’s turrets. The game introduces numerous technical upgrades, as well as new heroes and opponents. Both play modes share the same characters roster, and individual dungeons are connected by a common mini-world on the surface, where up to 24 players can be at the same time.

The creators put special emphasis on recreating the bonds existing between the mother badger and her cubs. There are 35 types of firearms (pistols, shotguns, rifles) and weapons for close combat (knives, crowbars, baseball bats). The game also introduces special animal masks, which give the hero unique abilities. Even though the game features old-school graphics, it is filled with huge amounts of brutality, making it suitable only for adult players.

Running with Rifles is a 2D top-down shooter developed by a one-person Finnish studio Modulaatio Games. The game features open world and RPG elements. We play as a soldier who, along with his company, has to take over an enemy base, and at the same time protect his own from being taken over. Maps on which the game takes place are around one square kilometer big. There are up to fourteen camps, divided between a couple of factions, on each of them. The game uses one shot - one kill mechanics, we have to use our surroundings to find cover and shoot in a right moment, or else we will be the ones getting the bullet and dying. As we progress, our unit can grow to up to ten people, we gain experience, and more influence on our company. The game was designed with multiplayer in mind, but in case we won't be able to find other players, we can compete against A.I.

The game is set in an abandoned research facility, where the main hero, John Maracheck, wakes up. Throughout the game the protagonist has to discover what happened in the facility and find his relatives. Easy to guess, seemingly empty laboratory hides loads of traps and dangers. Despite the unique perspective, at least for this genre, the game focuses on exploration, finding items, and solving puzzles; interestingly though, as a result of the player’s reckless actions, the hero may even die. The game features atmospheric artwork, kept in cool colors to underline the hero’s solitude. Gameplay is also accompanied by calm music that builds the atmosphere of isolation and emptiness.

What sets Owlboy apart from other games of the genre is the fact that our hero can fly, which greatly facilitates completing of platforming sections. During the gameplay, Otus can pick-up and throw various items, and as the time passes, acquires many new skills and useful artifacts. Gravity Rush (also known in its native Japan under the name of Gravity Daze) is a third-person action game, whose plot is set in Hekseville, a city modeled after towns from 19th and 20th century. We play as a heroine named Kat, who loses the memories of who and where she is. When our protagonist discovers she can manipulate gravitation, she decides to use her power to help the city’s inhabitants, which is constantly being destroyed by powerful gravitational storm. The gameplay comes down to exploring subsequent areas of the city, rescuing its endangered inhabitants and fighting monsters called Nevi that were summoned by storm, with the last activity coming down to finding their weak points. Kat’ strength comes from the aforementioned ability to control gravity, thanks to which she can e.g. float above the ground, walk on the walls of buildings or bounce from enemies flying in the air.
